How to take off/replace on/off bottomline setup
Q: how do I take off the bottomline stuff to replace it w/ a drop forward?
A:
Step 1). take off macroline/SS hose off the Evil On/Off.
Step 2). Loosen set screw on top of the micro rail on the bottom of the grip frame.
Step 3). Slide off On/Off in either direction very slowly as not to damage it and set it aside.
Step 4). Unscrew the screws in the bottom of the grip frame to take off the micro rail (may require some force if they are lock-tit'd in).
Step 5). Set Drop Forward and replace the screws you just removed in the previous step.
Step 6). Replace Evil On/Off (if you are using the stock on/off) and replace set screw.
Step 7). Replace/Recut SS/Macroline to On/Off and rechrono.

Cleaned:
Normal stuff like barrel internals.
Wipign down the bolt etc..
If your tech enough it's good to clean just about everypart from time to time
Lubed:
Hammer, inside and out:Both oil or Grease (puss dow33) will work - just dont add too much grease or oil.
Regulator: - drops of oil in the off/on or rebuild with grease
DO NOT OIL OR GREASE BOLT

How to properly clean and maintain the Evil Omen
Ok well i have somen time on my hands so i desided that i would make this thread, I realise that most of you may know this already but this will help anyone new to the omen.
First you need to wipe down the out side of the gun from any dirt/paint etc
Then take out the feild strip pin and remove the bolt, hammer etc, wipe off the Bolt and lube the Hammer o-ring
Now remove the cam cover/feedneck, you do this by taking out two allen bolts, one on the right side of the gun and the other on the middle of the body
Once this is off wipe off any paint on the inside of the gun
Now put back the marker in the opposite order that you took it apart in
I recomend that you take apart and lube your regulator every 4 cases or so, omenworker made a good link on this so here is a link to it (it is in the middle of the page)
Omenworkers Detonator Stripdown
And that is what i do personally to look after my omen, hope this helps someone out there

not even sure they make 48 Fiber wrap tanks. But I think the wieght difference is a 1-4 pounds - it really varies from tank size, type and brand
Here is a thread going on now about alm/steel tanks
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...hreadid=824559
Also ask around in the air systems forum:
http://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=151
My take is it is a good tank that will hold some resell value for a little while - and could be a good backup tank if you ever gor fiber wrapped.
IMO fiber tanks are much better on the field but buying used can be a headache - new can be costly.
Ross may be able to get you a deal or bundle on any tank - email him to see what you can do

probably a crossfire or a pure energy tank, cheapest size to get is a 48/3000 but you wont get much shots off of that and it isnt fiber wrapped, cheapest fiber wrapped tank is a 68/3000 but I prefer either 45/4500 or 68/4500 those will both get you quite a few shots.

Do I have to adjust the re-cock and velocity before I play every time, even if I’m using the same paintballs PMI big ball or PMI premium?

Vulture1 - Yes, yes you do. Velocity won't be a big change if you haven't fiddled with the reg. Just put the recock screw all the way in, shoot a couple balls over the chrono, adjust velocity to 10 FPS above your field limit, then without paint, dryfire and turn the recock screw out in quarter turns, taking time to shoot between that, until it consistantly recocks. Take it back over the chrono with paint to make sure you're shooting within legal limits.

It probably wouldn't hurt to get that replaced... but did you know you have to readjust the recock pressure before every use?
