Clear hopper in NPPL???
My friends claims that the NPPL does not allow clear hoppers at tournament. Is this True?

Very so. Because if paint breaks within the hopper, they wont know if its in or out of the shell.

thats kinda stupid, they should make it "use clear hoppers at own risk" so if it breaks inside and your called out its your own fault, and not the ref.s

they DO allow smoke and other color hoppers, the only ones they do not allow is clear. straight from the 2005 NPPL rule book

God forbid the ref actually check you before he pulls yer band...
He's got to come get you anyway.
It's a stupid rule. I painted my clear halo black tho...so it doesn't really effect me. But still...

in all fairness to the reffs, everyone *****es too much! they (and the 'rule
makers') are only trying to make this wonderful sport fair and honest.
if someone doesnt like it, = theres a tippmann, and a forest, have fun! :-)

why don't they let you put neopreme covers on it? is it so you don't get to many bounces off of it? oh and about the clear hopper thing, that is good to know

its also for if you get shot by an orange filled paint, and you paint is orange shell, it could be difficult to see that you are indeed out.

In nppl there are 2 colors thats aren't allowed orange & clear &only orange & clear
so get used to it & stop crying
