problem with xts, help pls
Hi all,
My buddy has had an XTS for years and its been through hell and high water. Just recently he took it out of his bag because we're looking to play this weekend.
It airs up fine, gun cocks, no leaks, then upon pulling the trigger the gun doesn't cock but keeps bouncing without catching back again (rapid fire with diminishing pressure) until it just stops uncocked. Any ideas?

Hello,
Either the marker is not properly lubricated, or the striker o-ring is damaged.
Let me know if you need parts.

I thought the same thing, so I lubed everything yesterday. It seemed to help a bit, meaning it rocked back and forth more times than it did unlubed, but it still doesn't catch back. I'll take another look at the orings but I'm fairly certain we already checked that out. And, the tanks were full- we tried a few different ones that worked great on other guns.

Greetings,
Check the sear and possibly the sear spring.
I've broken a few springs and wore out a whole bunch of sears.

your sear is most likely too worn, also after a while there becomes too much play between the stock and the body, right in the back, where the sear is, if you can keep the body tight to the stock it might work, and that will help reduce wear as well.

Pay VERY close attention to the oring on the striker. It may not look damaged, but all's it takes is a tiny nick in it, and you're out of business. Try replacing the striker oring. Whenever I play with a blowback gun I always make sure I have several spare striker orings on-hand. Your main striker drive spring may be worn out too.

You asked the same exact thing about the Epic in the ICE forum. Why don't you search around the forum a bit before asking a lame-*** question?

The JTX and XTS were some of my favorites. Have you examined the valve assembly? That may need to be cleaned and lubed.
