Back man sets are stupid. They have nothign to do with distance. um, they all dothe same thing the freak and the dark series, so pretty much which one you want. I'd take freak though cause it is out and it is a proven performer.

I was talking to a guy at my local field about the freak and that very same question came up. The tear drop is suppose to be better but I have been running a 16" all american and it has worked fine for me. As for the freak I was wondering if they are going to come out with a SS version. That was another thing that was brought up, if they are going to make a SS version. Question about the dark series, how is it different than the J&J full tilt besides the porting?

That was the question. They might never come out with a ss version. Right now they don't even make a ss barrel. Or they could come out next year. Only smart parts know if or when they will. But I would bet that if they had a demand for it they would make it though.

Stainless steel inserts hahahaha
Do you know how much that would cost? The machinging alone would be a figure I wouldnt want to touch.

ok heres the deal i bought a freak set complete set and i bought a dark series cp set from gerwin at my local warped sportz store and i kept the cp set and got rid of the freak b/c i rather have the 2 tips b/c i play front with my angel and i keep the 10 inch on there and u dont need 8 inserts i usally always play with diablo and i only need 1 barrel but if u have to enter a tourney u might have to use there paint so i have the other 2 backs to use and if 3 wont fit then somethings wrong but thats my opinion

Yes it would cost more than the normal set. What is so funny about SS inserts? You think that I didn't realize how much it would cost. Besides, there is no saying that smart parts will even do make SS inserts. This is more dreaming than anything else.
Oh and Dark|Angel1169, use a period or two next time.

And I hate spending ten minutes trying to figure out what people tried to say. That is all that comment was addressing. If you want to look stupid then that is up to you.
PS: I have been called worst by better people. Try again.

Are we forgetting the CP barrel set
I have heard great reviews about it and i know people
that use it and they like it.
The freak insert can bend easy and there where would you
be?
dark or CP your choose, but remember that CP does make
very good barrel and warp is just trying to branch out
they have very little experince in barrel making.

The Dark Series IS a CP barrel set. It's made for Warped by CP. The same way the Dark cocker is made by Freeflow.
The only difference b/t the CP pro set and the Dark series is cosmetic.
Claro?
Later.

Also to keep in mind. Warped will sell the parts separately if you don't want a FULL kit. $40 for each front, $50 for each back. I'm probably going to piece out a Warped set myself... I like the weight a good SS back gives... plus it's more durable and I simply don't need umpteen barrels.
