Pros: Durability, value
Cons: Waist and length
I have the 09 LTD pants. They were really stiff when i first got them, but that should be expected; i mean it has been sitting on a shelf, or a warehouse. Play with them and wash them (i just rinse them off in the shower) and the feel like any other pants. I haven't had a problem with them not having liner on the inside; I wear shorts underneath them.

A few things i noticed were the waist Velcro bands. There's a gap in them where there is no fuzzy Velcro to secure them so you have to let the waist out or further in to secure them (or adjust higher or lower on the hip). I feel like the material below the knee pads is a bit long based on centering the knee pads on my knees.

Speaking of which i really enjoy the padding, tough construction and really makes it comfortable to slide or kneel without pads underneath.

I haven't used the zipper on the lower legs (its been cold here), but i see them coming in handy for ventilation between games in warmer weather.

Overall i'm very satisfied with them: nice features and durable construction. Try to find them in a store and try on different sizes. I think they are worth the cost and i'm a very value oriented person.

Cons: bungie retainers are weak
These pants are SICK! They fit very comfortably, are vented very well, and have ample padding in ALL of the right places. The pants are very durable and can rid paint stains if washed within a couple of days. I havent had a rip in them, but I have had one of the plastic pieces that holds the bungie at the bottom of the pants tight broke off, which kind of sucks but it still works!

Empire 2009 LTD Contact Paintball Pants Love these pants, just replaced because they were getting dirty/ripping. No ankle zips/ties was a big deal to me, so I sewed them on. Otherwise amazing pair of pants. Will keep as backup.

These pants are AMAZING!! Although they are pretty heavy, all the padding around the hips and knees are a nice touch for those slides into the bunker. Very easy to find them used nowadays for ~50 so id definitely get me another pair from this year. I liked the black and white pattterns as apposed to my 2012 Ltds. Im still rockin my 09s!!

One of the best pairs of pants i've ever owned. They are light enough to avoid hindering performance, they look good, the part on the lower back really helps keep pod packs tight and who doesn't love a microfiber cloth in their pocket?

Pros: Padded everywhere
Cons: Gets hot in the pants
Probably the greatest pair of pants I have ever worn. I have Dye, Angel and Cotract Killer and the Empires blow them all away in terms of fit and function. The best feature is the back pad. It covers your lower back. No more butt crack to show!! Yay!! The padding in the groin is thick and covers a large area knee and shin pads do a wonderful job as well as the hip pads. The fit is perfect and I am a heavyweight and have never been more happy with a proper fitting pair of pants.

The only con is the ventilation. It could use more ventilation.
