The Matrix Rail™ features incredible 3D body styling, dual-durometer adjustable feed neck, a fully adjustable dual-durometer trigger, a low pressure bolt kit and metal logo inserts. Bottom line. Great gun.
Proto Paintball PMR (Proto Rail 09)I really enjoyed this gun when I owned it. My only complaint came when I needed to play as a back player in streetball. I could only get about 5 1/2 pods from a 4500 tank.

I have used this marker for a faire amount of time and i feel i have enough game time with the marker to give a fair review. i have not had many issues with the marker exept for the fitting on the reg blew out, but that was fixed free of charge. The marker has a very smooth, comfortable shot and is a very nice marker for the price range. The marker was breaking lots of paint on some of the realy cold days, but it was a very very brittle paint. i would say if some one is looking for a low cost spool velve or a bigginer looking to buy a marker that will last a long time then this is perfect, i however dont think it is the best marker if going into very competitive tournaments as it chows air like mad... overall i would give it 7 out of 10

There is nothing to complain about how this gun shoots. The gun shoots great. Whats not good about it is that it breaks down often. I got mine used. As long as you know how to maintain and take care of a gun, I think that this gun is a good gun. It shoots the best if you put barly any lube on it, but you re lube it after every time u play. I also tried hater marmalade on the bolt instead of dye slick lube, it worked really nicely because it worked better when you only put a little bit.

Proto Paintball PMR (Proto Rail 09)I got one these for free. Kept it around for quite awhile as a back up to my ND timmy, even used it over my ND a few times just because it was a straight shooting, light weight gun.

I have had this gun since it came out in 2009 but since about day 1 I have had trouble with it. The bolt is Very picky it will stick and make take the whole thing out at times. No matter how good you are at mataining a gun this thing will challenge you. Also if its not one thing its another, it almost seemed like whenever I got the bolt to work my regulator would spike. I don't know if I just got a bad one, but I wont buy another 2009, However i will consider later models in hope that they are better. Because whenever I got this thing to work it was a nightmare for the other team and seemed to really perform.

I procured this gun through a trade for my xbox 360, i received this gun proto pants, a pack, tank, hopper, and mask. After trying to sell it i resolved to try and play and I haven't looked back since.
The barrel shoots very accurately, and the board and trigger are easy to adjust and tweak to really let this gun rip. It looks great and has some very sleek styling. The way the bolt is designed from what i understand makes it unnecessary to have an LPR. This is supposed to allow the gun to be very light on paint and reduce ball breakage. From my experience it works, I have not had a single ball break on me with this marker. This is my first 'high end' electro marker and i'm very pleased with it.
This gun however well designed is not without it's problems. The first is the fact that it is heavy on air. Take this as simply a statement rather than a complaint due to the fact that i don't play hours upon hours of continuous paintball the fact that i may have to shell out an extra $3 every once in a while to air up doesn't really bother me. The second problem is the feedneck, the thumbscrew is almost impossible to remove when you are sweaty and playing on a hot day, it's almost impossible to remove period. There are utterly no ergonomics involved in this feedneck, Due to my stuborn/lazyness i have not bought a new feedneck and i have resorted to using an allen key to tighten/loosen my feedneck, but an upgrade will be in the future. The trigger is rather awkward as well, although it is easy to adjust it has some sort of side to side motion and the position on the stock frame makes it feel somewhat strange, the decision to upgrade to a UL frame is also in the works. the last problem is that the gun requires lubeing every game. Although i'm a person who loves to take things apart and tinker with them this seems like it could be a problem to one who does not find such joy in lubing a pneumatic machine. The ASA seems to slide around also which is another preference thing.
Overall this is a great gun I believe on the used market the are around 100-200 and i think this is a great pick for first 'higher end' electro.

I got this gun from a friend who never used it anymore (he got an ego) and I have been very impressed with it. It's very light and small. The case it comes with is pretty good and the manuel and tools it comes with are all good as well. The stock barrel is light and pretty accurate, but the bore size is a bit big for most paint. Always remember to keep the bolt lubed though. I lube mine after I get home every time I play because if I don't, the bolt will the stuck and start leaking air. That is about the only complaint I have about the gun (besides the look, which I got used to after the first couple of weeks).
