I didn't have my I4s for a very long time because I simply did not like them. Coming from I3Pros I thought these would be just as good but they just weren't.
First impressions of when I got the mask was that it was very small. When playing in the mask I noticed, and got shot once or twice, in the exposed part of my jaw line.
The mask is also pretty expensive for the amount of material used. Moreover the lenses scratch very easily.

The i4 goggle is personally one of my favorite all time masks, I used it for the near entirety of the 2012 season without an issue. I enjoyed it so much my first time using it that I bought a black and gold LE version of it and didn't regret it one bit. Out of the box it came with a nice mask bag that also doubled as a microfiber cloth and did a very good job making the fine touches to the lens to make it shine.
In the entirety of the time that I used it I only encountered two issues, and those are the narrow profile of the mask (not a personal issue, but teammate related) and the airflow. While the narrowness of the mask wasn't an issue for me, it was too narrow for one of my teammates who used an i4 for a tournament then switched to a Profiler just after. I was always impressed with how well the i4's side and vertical coverage actually was (better than the Profit and Profiler) for it being such a small mask. My only personal issue is that the i4 was rather hard to breathe in due to only having limited venting in the front of the mask, that is the soul reason that I switched to the Grill.
All in all, the i4 is an awesome mask and the only thing holding it back from being something that I'd recommend left and right is the price, $110 is too high for the basic versions of the mask.

The I4's are a Great mask. I loved mine, they are quite small though. You will take make hits on the forehead, and maybe even the chin. They are also very tight on your face, but I actually like that feel because it makes me feel like I dont loose as much control of my face (idk how elese to word that) when I'm wearing a mask. The soft ears are pretty good and the quick lens release system works well. Overall these are a very great mask

Personally this mask is the best i have ever used, it's easy to clean and maintain it's very easy to hear when people are yelling and it is easy to breathe out of. I would recommend this to anyone as an upgrade.

Bought a used Dye I4 mask last week. It is by far the coolest looking mask on the market. It's lightweight and is great for front players. Has a great field of view and the goggles don't fog up as much as previous masks I've owned. They don't offer very much protection and even less if you have a large heard. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and won't be looking for another mask for awhile.

Okay I thought I'd test out the dye i4 face mask a few times before actually writing this. I've used these about 7 times now, from 10am to around 5pm each time. Very easy to see why they are one of the best.
Weight: It has almost no distinguishable amount of weight on your face and head making it very easy to move around on the field.
View: Compared to my first and older lenses, these are the best. They provide a peripheral field of view which helps in spotting out your opponents. Also the expanded view helps with those who might get claustrophobic by limited fields of vision.
Overall Design: This face mask is very sleek and nicely shaped. It doesn't have a visor to get in my way. Its rounded off, even the lens itself has a rounded shape, making it less awkward to play with. In my opinion the shape itself helps with minimal hits, provided your not standing in the open lol.
The mask itself breathes really well, not once in any game have I had it fog up. The foam on the inside is very durable and extremely comfortable. Unlike alot of masks which can be stiff and itchy. You can breathe really easily, doesn't get hot inside it at all, at least not in my opinion.
Communication: In paintball communication with your teammates is crucial. There are many masks that inhibit your ability to effectively call out bunkers and eliminations. When I talk to other people I register clearly (or about as clear as someone wearing a face mask could.)
Cleaning/Maintenance: Really easy to remove the lens. Inside of the mask connected to the strap are two plastic hooks. You push down on the tabs, when you hear the click push the hooks forward. Once that's done you can pop the lens right out. Easy as that.
Only downside I can see from this particular mask is the price. It's a Dye product so you know the price tag isn't going to be the most affordable, but it pays for itself in no time. This is a great purchase, and should be a first choice for those of you who are looking to get more into the sport.
