I have had the same exact Dye Rotor since 2009 when it was released. Yes I've gone through a couple color kits and speed feeds. I've upgraded to the Virtue Soft Cycle and added the Seed Kit over time. But I have been playing paintball for over a decade and I have never had another loader just consistently perform the way the rotor does. It doesn't matter if you're dragging it through the mud at a rained out event or in the cold of winter. Add the Seed Kit and you'll never even have to worry about jammed paint anymore. This thing does it's job like no other hopper has ever.

And for those comparing the Rotor to the Spire. I don't care what you say because you still have to tune your Spire to each and every gun it's put on differently. What happens when you're at an event and your teammate needs to barrow your Spire but it doesn't work on their gun? The rotor will always pull through no matter what you put it on. And that to me is worth a million times more than a wider mouth opening and a slightly higher cap. I've never had trouble dropping my full pod into my rotor. Learn how to drop a pod and you won't lose half your paint. I apologize for the mini rant since this is supposed to be a review. But long story short Rotor > Spirt in my book

Took me a long time to jump on the Rotor bandwagon, but after using it a few times and having to spend 20+ minutes disassembling my halo, I'm all aboard.

Takes half as many batteries, the disassembly is a breeze and is worth the difference in price alone, and feeds a lot faster (though that's not really needed).

They are expensive though.

Dye Precision Rotor I bought mine used at 150. That is a huge price jump compared to everything else that had been previously around. BUT, after playing with the Rotor, you see why they can change a premium for it....

Cons: Price is STEEP
I bought mine used at 150. That is a huge price jump compared to everything else that had been previously around. BUT, after playing with the Rotor, you see why they can change a premium for it. These loaders have literally survived fires and 200+ pound men jumping up and down on them. Now THAT is durable. And yet they come apart in seconds to clean and reassemble. This has been a great loader and I will most likely buy another one if necessary.

Pros: fast, never jams, quiet, reliable, battery life
Cons: stock lid is prone to come up while sliding/diving
Played with this for almost 2 years now on my Etek3. Never had any problems with jams, battery life, etc. The only thing I don't like is the lid lock is very sensitive, so while this does make reloading quick and easy, I've notice that it will pop up when diving or sliding. Not really a big issue, just get the Dye speed feed and you'll be fine.
