I have been using a rotor since 2009 with no problems at all. I recently have upgraded to a v3 with velcro battery straps and the newer style sharkfin arm. I would say when purchasing a rotor, make sure you buy the newest generation with these upgrades. The velcro ensures that the batteries don't pop out and the sharkfin arm helps eliminate any jamming issues.
The rotor itself is extremely easy to use, just throw some batteries in and turn on. There is a bright light to indicate that the rotor is on and go from there. The feed rate is phenomenal and is extremely consistent down to the last bit of paint in the hopper. I typically leave my hopper on during my day of play, and the batteries last roughly 8-10 days of play.
Disassembly is a breeze and the parts to the hopper itself are extremely durable.
I would definitely recommend spending the extra money on the rotor compared to other loaders, it clearly comes out on top.

Performance:
It works great except for when the un-jam doe not work and you have to take the top half off, then finger out the odd-ball that jammed it. Other than that it is fast and consistent.

I have used this hopper for a few months and I can't find anything negative to say about it. I got one ball break in the hopper, but I blame that more on the paint than the loader. There are many color and shell options available so if anyone wants a specific color there is more than likely that color to accommodate their wants.
For the price used now you can get a good V3 for around 140 or less (got mine for $100). I can't recommend this hopper highly enough. It has been through a bunch of tournaments already and has never let me down. Battery life is great. It is also damn near indestructible. You can't go wrong with this loader.

now i've herd from everyone that rotors jam blah blah blah. It actually caused me to not get one at first. I went with the prophecy. then, my prophecy took a dump (a bearing in the rip drive out of place, made the gears not match up = no paint feeding) and that was a PAIN to get fixed. halfway through trying to fix it i said screw it and bought a rotor.
now, first off i want to say, EVERY LOADER JAMS. if you think you have a loader that never jams or will never jam, dont kid yourself. that being said, there is such a thing as excessive jamming. IMO the rotor does not jam any more than any other loader. i've had my rotor since november and i've only had one really bad jam. after i got the jam out i couldnt even blame the rotor because that paintball that caused the jam would have done the same to any loader that had tried to feed it.
Overall my rotor is the best loader i've had. Way to expensive if you dont get it on sale (i got mine around christmas for 150) but all in all best bang for your buck. dye makes great stuff.

Dye Precision RotorBy far the best hopper on the paintball market today. So simple, always works, great battery life with only 3 Double A's. There isnt a better loader out there period. The Dye Rotor is the best

Dye Precision RotorI have owned a DYE Rotor for over a year. I have used this thing as a bowling ball and it never came apart. It loads faster than any hopper I've ever used!!
A+ if you can find one at a great price.

I bought an invert halo too, because i have owned hundreds of halos and they have never failed me...
