Dye Precision - Rotor Reviews
Dye Precision Rotor I've owned every single loader out today and the rotor is still the best. I've tried to z2 and it just seems cheap to me. The rotor is sleek, easy to clean and tech, and is flawless when feeding!

Pros: fast, quiet, excellent battery life
Cons: occaisonal jams
I have used a variety of hoppers and the rotor blows ALL of them out of the water!!! Go to any paintball field and look at how many Rotors there are compared to everything else. Clearly they are VERY popular. They are simply the best hopper ever made. Dye really put a lot of thought into it's design.

Pro's: Great looking, super quiet (never hear the hopper except when it's empty when it it just spins free), simple to work on, fabulous battery life (I have 2 rotors and have never changed the batteries), well built, fast (fed 35bps no problem), solid construction. Rotors are very reliable and beyond an auto dejam feature they are nearly perfect.

Con's: Occasional jams in the ball stack, The shark fin doesn't always unjam the hopper because it doesn't reverse the feeder mechanism enough, way too expensive!!!, can't see inside the hopper easily, the side windows need to be way bigger and tougher, replacement parts are too expensive ($29 for a speed feed, that's highway robbery!), the lid hits the top cover when opened and fractures where they touch. The groove between the top and bottom halves needs to be deeper or better fitting. If you get hit in the seam you may get paint fill inside the hopper. These hoppers are expensive enough that they should INCLUDE an auto reversing/dejamming board that is capable of blue tooth and syncing with the gun whether wireless or through a cable. It shouldn't be an after market option!

I would recommend to anyone looking for a hopper to get a Rotor. Once I bought one, I was immediately looking for a second to replace my backup hopper. Sell or throw away your other hoppers and get a rotor! The only upgrade I recommend assuming you have a rev 3 hopper is a dejamming board. Seventh Element and Virtue both make boards for the rotor. If you aren't rev 3 get the parts and update the hopper.

Hey guys, reviewing the rotor like this hasn't been done before at all. The rotor sits low on your gun, and hardly ever jams, even then a pull on the anti jam trigger or a simple shake will get it going. But there's the one hard part, and if this happens it requires you to remove the shell. A ball can get stuck between the two rotors, meaning that it will not feed what so ever and the anti jam is useless. The rotor is a great hopper though, and hardly ever suffers from these types of jams.

Dye Precision Rotor hold a lot of paint, feeds faster than you can shoot, tough shell super hard to break. Almost a perfect hopper

Great hopper and very easy to take apart and clean. but the problem i have is using dye pods and a speed feed, not all the paintballs will make it into the hopper due to overfilling. I did end up getting the high capacity shell for it and it solves that problem but the low profile kinda goes away.

The Dye Rotor is one of the best loaders on the market right now. I have had mine since March 2011 and it has yet to fail me. The appearance of the hopper is so so. I prefer the look of Halo's. The only downfall to this hopper is it's price tag. It is well worth the money but it is expensive. You cantake virtually the entire hopper apart with no tools which is very convenient. The batteries last a long time. I think my last set of batteries lasted me like 5 months! It is overall an outstanding hopper.

Well it is definitely great when it comes to performance, jams on occasion but that will happen with any loader, for the price however I would have liked if it had some added features such as auto unjam. For the new price tag of 200 dollars for some plastic, a motor, and an led under a button it definitely isn't a huge value. I love it but being realistic, there isn't much value.

Dye Precision Rotor This loader is the best i have ever used. It has worked in all kinds of New England weather from snow to downpours. During all of the conditions, as long as i had good paint in the rotor, it worked.
