I owned this gun for a couple weeks and all I can say is, WOW! Light, fast, accureete, and super soft for a poppet valve. Unlike an ego, fx, or any other open poppet valve, this one wont snap your finger off if yoy find yourself in that possition. Ha
Great all around market and pretty cheap here in 2012.
Thanks

I got this gun through a friend and hadn't even heard of them. I used it for a little over a year and it was a very nice gun to shoot. It worked very well for my play style and felt good in my hands. However, it went down quite frequently and MacDev's customer service was practically non-existent. After a few months of messing around with it, I got it working and then dumped it off for a more reliable gun. If you are gun savvy this is a great gun as long as you have the patience to take care of it. I am personally the kind of player who throws my gun in my bag and pulls it out the next week to play with it, so this wasn't the best choice for me. It did, however, have an amazing feel to it and was simple to use with the LCD screen. I loved the trigger feel as well.

First off, I can't disclose price due to sponsorship, but this is a GREAT marker. It DOES take some time to break in, about 2-4 cases, and then it gets extremely air efficient. I just played WCPPL and almost all chrono shots were +/- 4 bps, even with the heat. It is a little weird with the puff of air in your face, but with a closed poppit bolt, you can't go wrong. It's a lot quieter than an ego and just as fast.
For you fast shooters who like Violent triggers, I highly recommend getting an RX with a Violent Trigger.

I have used it for one practice and it shot amazing. It shot very smooth out of the box. A lot quieter than an ego. The shift barrel that came with it made it even quieter. It shoots comparable to a droid. I also shot a luxe this weekend and I love them both. If I had to choose between the two, I would buy the rx because of the price over the luxe. If money was no object, I would probably go with the luxe.

i bought this gun new when they were released. used it until the clone's release. when i first started using the gun, it was not even close to my standards. heavy kick, extremely loud, and efficiency well below what macdev claimed. however, when this marker broke in (about 25,000-35,000 rounds) it became the best marker i've ever shot and will stand by it to this day. i never had to do anything to it maintenance wise aside from wiping it down. it rarely required lube and it out performs anything i've ever shot. the efficiency quickly jumped to nearly 3000 shots a 68/45 fill and it was almost as quite as a droid. the kick dropped off to a level comparable to that of a spool valve. macdev created perfection with this marker

MacDev Cyborg RxLets start off with the cons:
1. HPR is one of the more elaborate designs out there, definitely not awesome, but it's a rarity that you'll need to take it apart.

1. HPR is one of the more elaborate designs out there, definitely not awesome, but it's a rarity that you'll need to take it apart.
2. Looks are a like it or hate it thing, more coverage in the pros section.
3. Trigger is wonky and unbalanced. Hard to go "ham", as you chilluns call it these days, on the trigger. Nice? Yes. Good? Nah.
4. That little "puff of air" **** people complain about. No big deal, you can't feel it when you play since you have this thing called a "mask" in your face to stop it from getting to you. BUT, when I service the gun, I ALWAYS forget and get a **** ton of lube in my face when testing for consistency in feel.
Pros:
1. The body milling and shape is wonderful for almost any anodizing scheme out there. It may look like a stack of derp, but it's more like a wonderfully shaped canvas. Have you ever seen this **** with a fade or splash? Mahgawd.
2. Very efficient and consistent. Hands down one of the best of a stock gun I can think of. I was nearing a case of paint with consistency usually +/-4.
3. Lightweight and balanced. It's fairly lightweight, but the spacing and weight balance is great with most of it being atop your trigger hand. There's very little sway if any with the gun if you tend to shoot one handed or shoot while running/turning/maneuvering.
4. Ergonomics. Of the new guns, this is one of my faves. The Creed, Demon, and most new(ish/er) Angels and Aliens as well as Rogues and some other markers which I can't remember to name supersede the RX in comfort, but this is still really damn good and comfy for a current lightweight highend shooter.
5. Reliability. Take care of it and it will do its best to take care of you. I haven't ever an issue with them.
6. Of any new gun, this one actually has soul. Period. If none of those are selling points, this should be.
7. Low resale value and sells fast at the same time. Always winning.

The Guns great shoots super smooth for a poppet, its extreamly Efficient, i got 1000 Shots of a 4000 filled 45 45. Ano looks amazing, Board is super easy to use didn't even look at the manual, Also Super easy gun to tune, haven't broke any balls with eyes on. Barrel is great and shot my dimpled paint super straight. Not no Mention the bolt is enclosed and is a stacked tube poppet. No other gun has that. Appearance could be better but i like the simplicity.
