My only "paintball" pants, I saw these for a decent price and had to get them. Nice and light, with padding where you need it, these definitely do the job. The pockets have a minor flaw in the single piece of velcro that it has. It has the tendency to "un-sew" itself rather easily. I repaired it myself and it works fine now, but I would have rather not had to do it. But for the price, who cares? Recommended!

Smart Parts Defender pantspants are very light, but the lack of good knee padding is the main downfall

I used to own a pair of these pants before they got shredded. They were pretty comfy and light weight. the one problem is when they get wet they gain like 10 pounds. other issues is they don't seem to hold up well to alot of diving. everyone i know with a pair of these including me ripped them either in the groin or up the leg.

what i like about these pants are that they dont cost an arm and a leg, but yet they still look good, and they actally hold up.... I play woodsball and speedball and i've had these pants since July (2008). I've used these pants at least once a week.... some weeks close to 5 different times... the only thing that i dont like on them is that theres not really a whole like of padding in the knee's but I wear knee/shin pads anyway so it really doesnt make a difference to me...
all in all these pants are wanderful

Smart Parts Defender pantsThese are one of the most comfortable pants I have worn. The padding is mediocre compared to other pants on the market. They are mediocre in terms of durability, but they are stupid comfortable.

well since this review is late I doubt anyone will ever read this but here goes. I bought these pants on clearance and it was a good deal. They are super light well ventalated but not durable. I never played every week just as often as possible but i did wear them alot to get a feel and "break them in." The pants hold well during sliding and decent wear and tear, but after playing about 5 times and wearing them just for comfort many more times the velcro on the pull straps separated and a hole formed in the croch before the color even started to fade from washing and use. these pants were super comfortable though but just not what i expected in the long run.

I know they don't make these anymore, but these were BY FAR my favorite pair of paintball pants ever until they were stolen with some of my other gear. If you get a chance to snag one of these, do it without hesitation.
Pros:
-Low price (for paintball pants)
-Padding (Although they don't actually have foam or kevlar in them like a lot of pants that come out nowadays do now, they key areas - knees, shins, crotch, etc were reinforced with extra protection
-Durable (The material in these pants didn't wear out on me after years of regular use)
-Comfortable and breathable
-Lots of pockets!
