Dynasty Shocker's

Review
Ohh geeze, where do I start. By far one of the best guns I have ever owned... period. I have owned every gun from every major gun manufacturer including DM's, Ego's Bob Long's... none of these guns ever satisified me as much as my Dynasty Shockers. They are all around great guns right out of the box and SP had the right idea by not majorly changing the overall design all the way through '08. The 03 Shocker-NXT use interchangeable parts and this is a huge plus. As the old saying goes "If it ain't broke don't fix it". The only gun that has topped my Shockers was the luxe and thats because of its semi-tooless design and theres no macroline.

Conclusion
People either love the shocker or they hate it but this gun was a benchmark in paintball history when it comes to spoolies and theres no way getting around it. And getting the Dynasty milling is just the cherry on top.

Ive shotten many shockers, they shoot very nice, but you need to destroy them with lube. They always come with a crappy feedneck, and just an ion reg,and cheap asa.For their value i must say its horrible. To make a shocker any good you must invest in a new board, new feedneck, new bolt(excluding nxt's),basically another $200 in stuff. When they already cost around $600 brand new.

ohhh, where do i start about my old gun.... it shot alright, at best. being that SP decided to make a bunch of electropneumatic guns without LPR's, the soleniods they use are getting about 200-230 psi directly from the HPR. this is bad in that 90% of noids in guns are made to only take about 70-120 psi. so, when you hear that all-too-familiar sound of a POP then a rush of gas exiting the trigger frame, you know you just blew your noid. oh, and SP uses low-grade softer aluminum that will practically scratch from your fingernail (exaggeration). and the parts are somewhat difficult to get to, especially the trigger adjustments. all in all, it shoots ok, but if you plan on it shooting for more than a few months, get a good spool (DM,PM).

Pros: Light, Accurate, Quiet, Effecient when tuned.
Cons: Maintainance, Stock reg, stock feedneck, stock asa
Pretty nice gun, a little kicky, but able to put out consistent streams of paint on target when set up correctly with the NDZ bolt guide. I get about 1500 of a 68/45 when the tank is full, but if you havent taken the time to get it tuned in just right, its going to eat you out of an air tank. I spent an entire day at the field setting it up once I had it built up, but it was a day well spent.

Pros:
cheap when bought used now
accurate
quiet
light
small
plenty of upgrades available

cons:
stock feedneck (just friction o-rings, no clamping)
stock reg is a pain to maintain
no shortage of o-rings
stock asa eats tank reg threads (upgrade immediately imo)

basically, if you just take your time with this gun, and keep it happy, you will be thouroughly impressed.

Recommended for:
Those who are mechanically inclined, patient, and meticulous

Disrecommended for:
those who just throw it in there gearbag, forget about it until next satuday, and expect it to work after two months of such treatment.

i give it an 8 out of 10.

I've owned about 15 of these guns since 03.

The gun stock is nothing great, however with a new trigger and feedneck it shoots much better. The air efficiency is medicore, with a HE bolt or stinger bolt you'll notice a quieter gun and more pods per fill. The gloss anno on these guns wears off faster than a usual gun would FYI. But for the penny its worth it.
