Pros: Great gun for cheap
Cons: Orings
I've owned way to many shockers to count, fantastic marker for cheap (used) as long as you have an idea of how to trouble shoot the gun when orings go bad this is a great marker to have. It keeps up with all the higher end markers these days and has tons of upgrades for you to be able to customize to your liking.

Pros: light, upgrades
Cons: maintenance, upgrades
So we'll start with pros- light, small in the hands, always shot fairly well and consistent. Has little quick, if that is something that bothers your sissy hands, and is plenty quiet which is always nice in a game you constantly yell during. Plenty of upgrades to go along with the marker, which also brings me to the cons.
Upgrades- the thing was constantly breaking, that is until I put on an aftermarket part, even with that my aftermarket SP parts were breaking... I think it was just bad luck of the draw for me, but it is also SP... Parts were cheap and it usually ended up with me working on the gun beyond regular maintenance after far too many uses.

All the negatives aside it was one of my favorite guns I've owned.

Pros:
Smooth shooting marker.
Easy to maintain.
Milling.
Settings easy to adjust.
Weight and size (compared to markers of its time).
Cons:
Weight and size (compared to today's markers).
Macro line.
Efficiency is horrible requiring players to use bigger tanks and or spend money on aftermarket parts.

This was a great marker for its time and continues to be. With parts not readily available anymore, i wouldn't recommend it for everyday use but to collectors and custom builders only.

Pros: See Below
Cons: See Below
A little history first:
The SFT Shocker came out in June of 2003. I have had atleast 1 in my possession since 3 days after the release.

The SFT shocker gets a bad rep among paintball players, not because a majority of players have had a bad experience, but because a minority, who 90% of the time didnt know how to properly care for the marker, and didnt care to learn.

Pros:
- Lightweight(especially compared to the rest of the markers around when it came out)
- Fast
- sleek body design, that was innovative when it came out
- Easy, straightforward maintenance

Cons:
- Tighten the upper grip screws too much, fry your upper board
- Type of Aluminum used does not hold anodizing well

95% of Shocker problems are caused by 2 things:
-Over Lubrication
-Lube Starvation
Do not glob lube all over your bolt. globing will cause bolt stick and other problems.

The SFT Shocker may be 12 years old, but it will still keep up with modern markers. Buy it cheap, and beat the piss out of it.

Smart Parts Shocker The first popular marker still can keep up with today's models. Finding one for the right price makes a great back up.
