INTRODUCING THE ALL NEW DM9
With a host of new features, updates, and refinements, it continues the tradition of being one of the lightest, smallest, fastest and certainly the most accurate of paintball markers in the world.
Its made by Dye. What else needs to be said. I love almost all dye guns.

Dye Precision Dye Matrix 9 (DM9)Bought another one of these after quite a few years. Previously owned a dm6. This was a joy to shoot. Highly recommended.

Ball on ball! The bolt system is real easy to clean.
The regulator on the other hand can be troublesome to take apart on the first try. Some people use a wrench but that will scratch. For some reason Dye sends these guns out with the reg's tight as hell. I suggest using a strap wrench to take it apart.
LPR is a dream to have. It makes a big difference.

Dye Precision Dye Matrix 9 (DM9)so like any dye gun it needs a **** tone of lube. Also you should probably upgrade the market with a new board so you can change modes easier and a different trigger

I love DM's, and this may come across a little biased, but they just seem to be the perfect gun for me. They have always been super smooth when properly tuned, and I have always been able to get enough pods off of a 68/45 with them (anywhere from 6-9 pods).
I prefer them over the NTs because of the ability to adjust the LPR to either set the gun up to run superrr smoooothly or to run a little more efficiently. I personally have not seen an issue that couldn't be fixed by cleaning the gun (and replacing an oring). I've owned over 35 DM's and have NEVER had to replace a solenoid, all the heresay about blowing solenoids is crap. I would recommend these guns to anyone and everyone as they are going cheap on the used market and all shoot like a dream.

I've owned a lot of different DMs. DM4-DM9
DM9
Pros:
1) very quiet - tougher for your competition to tell where the shot is coming from
2) super smooth - after you tune your marker correctly it really does shoot buttery
3) Eye pipe system has improved drasticly f/ the DM6/7/8 models. Better than the DM7, DM8. Just don't screw your barrel on too hard
4) light weight
5) very consistent when properly tuned
6) looks great
7) no stripped screws from the eye covers since they removed them (removed for DM8 and up)
8) no more leaky on/off switch b/c they also removed that
Cons:
1) a learning curve to using it. It takes a little time to learn how to properly tune your marker to exactly the way you like it.
2) If it springs a leak it can be difficult to determine where it is leaking from without removing the grip frame (unless it is coming straight down the barrel)
3) not efficient - I get 7 pods and a hopper on a good day.

LOVE my DM9. It looks amazing and outshoots everything else at the field time and time again. I have it set up with a virtue OLED board, BWing bolt, Eigenring, VP trigger, NT asa and reg sleeve, and a deadlywinds barrel, and it gets nonstop compliments, both on looks and on performance. With the bolt and eigenring, I'm getting over 1600 shots EASILY with this gun. I can't find anything wrong with it. Bolt is easy to maintain and LPR is a DREAM to work with. Reg can be kinda tough to take apart but it's not so bad. Maybe my favorite marker I've ever used.

The first impression I had was with the new gun case that comes with the gun, it takes little space in your gearbag and protects your investment, manuals, barrels, parts kit, grease, barrel condom, just everything you may need. This marker is light very light, Dye took the front on/off that some DM8 users were complaining about, made the body shorter and the body has a nice carved and well balanced. The board has some new options, doesnt need any upgrade, shoots great in Semi and Ramping modes. A really cool feature its the new trigger, you can adjust it in many ways, first set tghe activation point and trigger stop and then you can adjust it all the way to the front or to the back of the frame, my guess is that this simple feature will be copied in the near future in all the markers. The air efficiency is a little better than the DM8, 6 pods and a hopper at 3000 psi. The new ball detents are very easy to clean and changed if needed, great they got rid of the magnetic ball detents.
