Ok so I had a ion and now my dad has one and I like it just about as much as my pmr so here are the pros and cons I got from playing with my old ion and my dads.

Pros:
Pretty cheap
Good beginner speedball gun
Lots of ups for it
Comes stock with freak barrel (I think its a JR. though)

Cons:
Too many people hate them just cause they're ions
Needs a new trigger and board
A little heavy compared to my pmr
Not to much more that I can think of

well its appearance is better than a normal ion, but it's still not that nice. considering the body is made of plastic, i guess it is good looking. my frame and my friends frame are a little different, that just shows the amount of effort they put into this product. however it never went down on me (keep your mind out of the gutter please) and it shot pretty well. i'd say it's a good gun for maybe $200 but its not worth any more than that.

oh and if you buy it. don't bother upgrading it. it isnt worth the money, i've spent close to a thousand on mine and i now realize, it's still an ion.

I'm a rec player getting into tourney's. Got my gun mad cheap NEW on eBay. Spent 150 on upgrades (board, bolt, trigger) And I can hang in the tourney's with my Ape rampage board (got that cheap too) I love eBay!! Good to mess around with, not the most reliable but hey it shoots paint (fast) and i can play paintball thats all i care about. Who cares if its and Ion. Not everyone has parents that will drop 1200 on and Ego or buy a DM8 or something.

However if you want a tourney grade gun for $300ish, go on ebay and Buy and Empire Invert Mini. Great performance out of the box. ions are great if your not planning on upgrading.
