Guerrilla Air has become one of the giant names in the paintball tank side of our sport. With the release of their Myth regulators they set the industry on fire with the tiny size and immense performance. I am lucky enough to be able to test out one of their new 68/4500 carbon fiber tanks with a G2 Myth regulator mounted on top.

The core of Guerrilla Airs success and popularity is based on the knowledge and experience gained throughout the years which dates back to our start as Air America and continues to evolve. Our goal is to explore new ways to innovate Paintball technology necessary to improve performance. We strive to enhance the player experience and improve existing technology to perform better and ensure safety is never sacrificed.

Guerrilla Air has always been and always will be focused on developing new designs that are more efficient, smaller, lighter and compact; yet offer increased performance without compromise.

This methodology of dynamic high performance design is fully realized in our line of MYTH regulators. Recognized by the Paintball community around the world as the most innovative regulator and air systems available today!

Packaging:

The first think you see is the packaging which is quite ingenious. A simple cardboard tube with two plastic caps is essentially what the bottle is shipped in but it is so much nicer than the simple supplies made to construct it. I popped off the top cap to the container to see the tank wrapped in a heavy mil plastic bag, and quickly removed this. The reg was shipped with a protective cap on it, a big bonus. Included is a little pamphlet for the tank.

First Impressions:

The tank is sleek, shiny, and light. Not all essentially needed to play but it is cool none the less. The regulator is tiny, and that is not a fair description as it is so small the cap on the threads almost hides the entirety of the regulator. The first thing I noticed is the tank was smaller than the average 68/4500 configuration. Shorter but slightly fatter than most but that is a plus for those that like to play tight to their markers. The design on the tank is that of a gorilla face, I like it. All of the needed information is on the tank like the size, hydro/born date.

Size:

I was a little worried about the size of the tank. It is a 68/4500 put it is not the average length you get with a standard 68/4500 tank from other manufacturers, it was shorter and slightly larger in diameter. My worries were soon squelched when I put the tank on my DP Rev-i and raised it to my shoulder for the first time. It put the marker in a very comfortable position resting in the crook of my shoulder. With the marker slightly closer to my face I thought it may be uncomfortable but was pleasantly wrong. This tank put the marker at about as perfect a position as you can get. A HUGE bonus is this thing is right around 2 pounds in weight, one of the lightest tanks out on the market today.

Regulator:

The Myth G2 regulator is a leap above in technology from what is out there on the market now. With the flush, dual burst disk system you will first notice or technically not notice the feeling we have all grown to know on your wrist when playing small. With the flat burst disks you do not get that little irritating rub from the burst disks on your wrist when playing. Another feature of the G3 regulator is the ability to line up the gauge and input fitting anywhere you want when you screw it into your markers ASA. I prefer the up and down configuration with the gauge on top and the input fitting on the bottom so there is no intrusive obstacles when playing.

Guerrilla took this simple idea and made it a reality from all of us.

The regulator itself is tiny, something we have all come to expect from Guerrilla Air now. With such a small regulator you might expect some drop off under high rates of fire. This just does not happen when I tested this tank. I normally play with a semi cap of 15 bps but I turned off the cap, turned the marker on uncapped ramping and put it through the ringer with not a single skip.

Looks:

This is such a marginal part of a product so I will not go into a lot here. You will either like the looks of the tank or you will not. I personally think the simple black with a ape face added to the design is simple, yet very cool at the same time. A plus in my book on the design side.

I put this tank through the ringer, threw every firing mode at it from PSP, Millennium and full auto without so much as a hiccup or stall on air provision to the marker. The price is low, the tank is light, the regulator is adjustable

Guerrilla Air, Inc. 68ci Micro Myth HP Tank Have had this tank since 2009. I've always found the fill nipple difficult to fill off of. But other than that, no complaints.

Overall a great tank, but wheni first got it the first time i filled up to 4500 psi both the high and low burst disks blew? very strange, i filled 2 other tanks at the same time and they were both ok. replaced the burst disks and the tank has been solid since. Myth makes it nice and tight like a tiger.
