There isnt anything special bout this gun. i want to sell it to get a different one. it has a 12inch smart parts progressive barrel, which is pretty accurate. i used the gun probably a total of 8 times in 6 months. i just dont like the feel of the gun, but everyone that i let try the gun said they loved it. im only asking 140 because i just need money to get the DP G3. overall i would rate this gun a 7 out 10. i have never had any problems with it. i think this gun is a good gun, almost brand new, and is good for anyone who is willing to put upgrades on it.

I love this gun for what it is worth. It was a cheap gun which was easily upgraded(necessity). It can keep up with the high end guns and it is as accurate as they come. The only problem I have with the gun is that it is painstakingly hard to take it apart. I had some trouble with my hoses and it was a pain in the neck to take it apart on the field, when you just wanna get out and play. Now that the hoses aren't having any more problems, it is an A in my book.

Pro's: This is a great starter gun. It's easy to maintain once you learn how and it's as reliable a marker as your gonna find. It's okay on air and has a decent reg and it has a CRAP load of aftermarket parts available for it.
Con's: Everything on this marker is okay/good. It's accuracy is okay, better than a rental but it's not gonna compete with a higher end marker. It has ALOT of plastic on it which isn't very good looking but it gets the job done.

I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks this is one of the greatest guns ever made. They are fast accurate light and barely kick stock. It only needs one upgrade and that is a clamping feedneck. The stock barrel is fine but like everyone else did I bought a new barrel, a JJ ceramic, they shot the same. Maintenance was a butt with the old ions but with an ion xe it's easy. Don't bother buying expensive upgrades. You would be better off buying a nice Guerrila air 68/45 tank and an empire reloader B. With all of these things you will have an awesome gun that shoots as great or greater than everything else. The Ego/Dm/Shocker/DLX/Macdev fanboys may say this gun sucks but they are just being dickwads.

I bought a wicked up'd ion from one of my friends for 200 and every time I hav used it after that it has worked. Up until recently the board has been fine too, but my friend didn't really treat it with too much respect all the time and now there's something wrong with it. But that has nothing to do with the gun itself. This ion was my first electric gun and served me fine while it worked.

Ive had this gun for roughly 8 months. I havent shot it too much but ive noticed seeral good and bad things.
I put in it a virtue and the thing shot pretty fast without chopping. This gun is very light as long as you have a carbon fiber tank. I noticed my gun was shooting balls that would hardly even come out of the gun. At that time I had no clue how to work the gun. But I later realized that my gun was chronographed at around 180 bps (lol).
This gun is a huge pain to clean and add internal upgrades. To simpley lube up the bolt you have to dismantle the entire gun. When adding my virtue it was pretty complicated and i had a leak which I fixed.
Im selling the gun now since i dont like it and can only upgrade it so far.
If youve been playing for a couple months or so and you really are starting to like the game I reccomend this gun. But it on Ebay with upgrades on it and you wont be disappointed.

So the Ion is a good gun but technology has progressed so its not quite worth the $160. I had an Ion and sold it a while back because I didnt need it anymore. I think the Ion is all about personality. You feel pro if youve got when and your 12. But, it gets flamed alot for it plastic like (look )
so I would suggest going to your field and trying one out because everyone has got or gets and ion!
It juist needs a new asa,barrel,feedneck,trigger and it can be as good as any gun. But I would chip in and spend the extra $30 for the Epiphany
