I just bought the gun about a momth ago and so far it has been an up and down gun. It shoots great when it shoots. But if I was to do it over I would just save for an Empire Axe.

Only downside I've found so far would have to be leaking.

I would recommend the Ion for any beginner as their first Electronic Marker.

Kinda sad they don't make them anymore.

Pros: It's an ion
Cons: It's an ion
This was my first ever paintball gun which makes it hold a special place in my heart. It wasn't however an amazing gun. The customization possibilities are endless with an Ion. It is a good gun for a beginner and you can put a lot into it to make it better than it's original form. The Ion will only get you so far though as it is not very reliable to the higher level players and you'll need a gun that'll perform better.

Out of the box, the Ion wasn't the fastest or the prettiest gun, but it definitely has the ability to be more flashy. Tons of upgrades available for this gun, inside and out, and it never let me down. It was my backup and if I ever had issues with my timmy, I knew this gun would work for me.

Smart Parts Ion Gun is an air hog. Had several inconsistant shots/drop off problems when ramping. Good value/ Entry level marker.
