I marked 1 star down in reliability because I did break one. Now, I must point out that it was MY fault. I dove and didn't hold my gun up enough. It chipped off a bit of the tip. However, it still shot fine for the rest of the day and until I could get a new one!
This barrel is unsurpassed in weight and I constantly seek out purchasing these barrels.
Overall, my favorite barrel. Try one if you don't believe me!

SITE, Inc. St!ffiI've had a Stiffi for years. It's proven to be extremely reliable and deadly accurate.
Great barrel. loved it the only problem was you couldnt use a squeege.

Lightest barrel I have ever owned. Not sure that it improved anything about my game, but I do always like a good quality one-piece barrel assuming I have the right bore. Always impressed me how light these are and yet the carbon fiber makes them just as strong as heavier barrels

these barrels are great. when stiffi first became a company, we were lucky enough to get sponsored by them to test out and use their barrels. they sent us 4 barrels all varying in length and bore and they asked us to put them through the paces and then try our hardest to break 2 of them. we used them for a few weeks and noted they were very accurate and feather light and we would definitely like to keep using them. after we finished field tested we got to the business of destroying. we bashed it over rocks, hit it with hammers, dropped boulders on it and we couldnt do any damage past some cosmetic scratches. it took us running it over with an suv on the tip where the vents are to finally get it to break a piece off. we shot it with the broken tip and it still shot just as well as when it wasnt beat up. these barrels are awesome, and this review is making me want to go grab some again. do yourself a favor and buy these!

I bought a stiffi for my ion back in early 2007. I had been having problems with the threads stripping on my Ultralight and was interested in trying a new barrel. I heard that a lot of people liked the stiffi and that it was really strong, accurate and lightweight. So, I figured I would give it a shot. I purchased a 16" barrel and took it to my next few practices. I have been using this barrel ever since.
Look - When i was surfing the internet for a different barrel, it immediately caught my eye. The carbon fiber pattern is a much desired color pattern and looks neat. So, when it first arrived at my house i was very pleased with the way it looked and the way it blended in with my gun really smooth, with the mix of light (grey) and dark (black) colors.
Weight - I read a lot online about how lightweight the barrel really was but i could not truly understand until I held it in my hand. I use a stainless steel freak on my SP Nerve and that was heavy. When I purchased the ultralight for the ion i was astonished at how light it was compared to the freak, and didn’t think a barrel could possibly get much lighter. Well, that was until u got the Stifi. When I held it it felt like there was nothing there at all. It felt like I was holding a rolled up piece of paper. When i compared it to the ultralight the UL felt heavy and I wondered why I had not purchased one earlier. When i put it on my gun it felt like I was missing something and the gun was extremely back heavy because there was no weight in the barrel to even it out. That was my only complaint with the barrel but, that back heaviness was easy to reduce by changing from a 68/45 to a 45/45 tank and sliding my asa up a bit.
Accuracy - Well, in my quest to find a flaw in the barrel, i felt that accuracy was the second most likely area to find it. I took it out to my field and let a few ropes go. Just as promised, the paint was ball on ball for a good distance. I never missed the target and even as I moved farther away the grouping of the paint only got slightly larger. (For reference purposes I used a round trashcan lid as my target). So, the Stifi was as accurate as they come and found no flaw in it.
Strength - I felt that this area of testing would provide the greatest chance for failure or weakness in the barrel. Being that it felt like a rolled up piece of paper, I figured it was probably much weaker than the aluminum or steel barrels that are the materials that almost all mainstream barrels were produced out of. Well, once again I was wrong and the barrel exceeded my expectations. Carbon fiber is the material that makes up the outer wrapping of a HPA tank and is used in many aerospace projects. Thus, it has one of the greatest strength to weight ratios of any material used in the paintball industry, if not the greatest. It is stronger than steel yet lighter than aluminum. The barrel is made of small fibers of carbon (as the name suggests) that are woven tightly together into a barrel shape and kept together with epoxy, and it has a MicroJeweled™ glass-like bore. I did some nasty dives in which I dug the tip of the barrel deep into mud, dirt, and hard clay. I also smacked it sideways against a few wooden bunkers to see if it would bend or kink if hit at its weakest point (the side). But, just as it claims, carbon fiber is strong enough to withstand some of the most extreme situations that any paintball player could place it in. (I underlined some because I guarantee there are a few retards out there that would run it over with their car by accident and I’m not sure it would stand up to that).
Reliability - From the day I bought it till the present, I have never had a barrel break. Occasionally I would get a bolt break but I can say with great certainty that this barrel will not break paint. I have over-bored, under-bored, used crappy paint, and the most brittle in order to create a situation where the barrel would break paint. But, it just laughed at me and shot it all. (I even tried to use 3 year old paint that was dimpled as hell and covered in paint from a broken ball, but the bolt blended it all before it could even get into the barrel.) So, if kept clean, the Stiffi should never be the cause of any broken paint.
Cleaning - Finally, I found a weakness!! You can NOT use a battle swab, or any cloth based squeegee in this barrel. Well if you don’t mind your barrel only lasting you a season or two then you can do whatever you want but i advise against it. The only way around this is to use a straight shot with the rubber/silicone or cloth cleaning end, or to use a rubber/silicone pull through. When they first started making their barrels they drilled the porting a certain way and the fluffy swabs used to catch and delaminate the barrel on occasion. This could lead to barrel breaks and weakness in the tip of the barrel. This also VOIDS YOUR WARANTY, therefore SITE will not repair your barrel or replace it with a new one even if it is in warranty. But, despite this the barrel has the remarkable ability to clean itself. If you break a ball in your breach and get paint in your barrel you would normally have to swab it or else your paint would fly wildly after it left the barrel. But, with a Stiffi, after you fire around 3-10 shots the barrel should be clean of almost all the paint, and your paint will be flying straight again. This feature saves a lot of time that you would normally spend swabbing your barrel and allows you to keep your gun up at all times. NEW INFO: Apparently SITE Inc. changed their porting process and battle swabs are no longer an issue. They recommend the use of Redz battle swabs but all others are apparently ok to use now. I received this information in an email directly from SITE Inc. As far as when they changed this process and new barrels purchased after what date are approved I am not sure. But, it no longer will void your warranty if you use a battle swab. (As long as you have one of the newer barrels)
Price - I bought mine used so i didn't pay top dollar but, the barrel is worth every penny. It retails as $110, so it is about the same price as many of the other high end barrels, yet it outperforms them all. If anything i think they should charge more. I did not include price as a con because you are getting the best barrel out there for a fantastic price.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with the quality, and performance of this barrel. Especially how it stood up to all my tests and out performed the other leading barrels on the market. I would recommend this barrel to anyone who is looking for a lightweight, accurate, and strong barrel to take down the competition. It doesn't get any lighter or better!

I know ive heard it a million times they are fragile..... Ok that is to be expected it is made of CARBON FIBER not a type of metal so you know what your getting into. I have had the same 12 inch stiffi barrel for the past 3 years. Its been the most accurate and dependable barrel i have ever used. I understand you cant us a barrel swab through it. The beauty of stiffi barrels is its a shoot through break design, never have i had to use a swab when using this barrel.
I have owned numerous barrels and barrel kits, proto single pieces and 2 piecers, evil pipe kits, freak kits, stock barrels, eclipse barrels thunder pig, and lucky 15's. So im not just a newb who got a stiffi and thought it was king.
And yes this barrel can break if you shove it in the ground on a dive, but lets face it when you dive PROTECT YOUR GUN and equipment because without them on the field your kinda pointless....
I havent ever been able to find a flaw with stiffi. except the stiffi switch kit, the bore is too short.
Ive been using this barrel for the past 3 years on my cocker threaded guns and have had 0 problems. I have used a stiffi on every one of my owned guns and probably wont change.
