I bought a PMI tank BNIB and expected great things. My older steel tanks worked fine and I wanted to try a fiber wrapped tank to save on weight. First things first, the gauge leaked right out of the box. Local field replaced the gauge, problem solved. Issue two: the regulator sucked. Most guns can use low or high pressure without issue, but Shockers and Ions hated this tank. They choked and sputtered at high rates of fire regardless of what HPR was used on the marker. I am 100% certain I was using a HP tank as well. I finally got fed up with it after seeing how light the newer tanks were. Sold it for as much cash as I could and get a DXS 68ci 4500psi HP tank. I would never recommend a PMI tank unless you get to try it before you buy it.

I honestly wouldn't go with a PE 68/45, unless you have to. It is extremely heavy, and it didn't hook up to some of the fill-stations I tried to refill at. There are much better tanks out there for the same price, if not cheaper.

Let me start this off by saying the only good thing is that it has yet to leak. Otherwise it is heavy and long. I play front so this kind of tank is too long also it is almost unbearably heavy. I am not dissapointed though because it has the carbon fiber wrap and it is HPA.

I give this 41\2 stars in all

Pros: Always works
Cons: reg isnt the best
I've used Pure Energy tanks since I started playing paintball. Mine has been taken apart numerous times but always works when put back together (reg and tank). Its a reliable tank that when other tanks fail this one still keeps working. Yeah you can buy newer tanks with better regs now but these tanks still are the workhorses on the fields that I see. Also....if you want to find them they are being sold under KEE now.

Pure Energy 68ci HP Tank Good weight, but I personally prefer smaller tanks. That's all preference though, go try tanks out for yourself and pick what feels the most comfortable!
