I have the 2011 Alien Independence and its an amazing marker. For the pros its light but not as light as say your NTs or a new planet eclipse (except the Etek). Its very smooth for a poppet, you just have to get your LP and Dwell set right. Its very accurate ball on ball every time. The most accurate poppet ive shot yet. Its very comfortable. With my ninja tank on it, it feels like it should be there with me. Very easy to set with the tadao board in it. Very air efficient just as good as any other poppet out there. Its quiet but not like a spool valve. Its also very easy to take apart and do your maintenance and cleaning. The sweep bolt is cool but weather it works the way say it does i dont really have a clue.
The Cons for this marker is the stock barrel is a one piece 14" thats a little tight on paint. I suggest a different barrel. The other is that you have to buy the 4c eyes separate. You also really cant find parts for it, so if something does go wrong, highly doubtful its a well built marker, you have to send it in to Jack himself or his techs to get it fixed.
But if u love poppets and a smooth marker the alien is it. Its the happy medium between poppets and spool valves. If u have any questions PM me

Jack's customer service is amazing, especially when you consider he doesn't have an army of techs to answer questions from everyone that asks.
Like above, the only thing I would change is the ASA, with everything else on the gun being so perfect, an ASA that 'just works' seems very under par.

This is a review of a 2010 Alien Independence.
of all the 20+ markers i've owned and the other 10-20 more i've played or practiced with, the indy is hands down the best marker i have ever had the pleasure of using.
Comparing side by side with an Ego11, the Indy is much smoother. like noticeably smoother, and much quieter than the Ego.
Ergonomics: the Indy simply feels great in the hands. I think the ego felt a little bitter, but the Indy is not bad at all. the feedneck is really low and allows you'r whole set up to be a bit shorter than an egos. Eclipse is behind IMO with electronics as they are still using LCD over OLED that the Indy has. both boards are very nice and easy to use though.
Reliability: i've lubed my Indy once, when i got it, and i have around 20-30 cases myself and i havent lubed it since. i've played in the ran, mud, summer hear and freezing cold, New England bi-polar weather, and it just champs through without a problem. I broke about 3-5 balls with this marker in the 20-30 cases i put through it and that was 2 month old ultra evil left over from PSP new jersey. maintenance is very easy on both markers
Efficiency: The indy will get efficiency similar to the g6r. it is better than the ego in terms of efficiency.
Looks: ego looks a tad nicer, but the indy is one of the nicer looking markers out there.
overall i'm amazed with this marker. Its simply the best marker ever.

Do you research, hunt one down at your local fields, or stop by the Alien section and ask some questions.

I have owned an 08 Alien Indy for about 5 months, and is by far one of, if not the best gun on the market.
Pros:
This gun is very quiet, low profile, smooth and very accurate. As for upgrades, you don't need any. This gun will turn heads, and will shoot farther and better then any gun out
Cons:
There is no market for upgrades, so if you need replacement parts you must call Alien Paintball. But since you dont need any upgrades, it's not too bad.
Also if the marker goes down, the only person who can tech it is Jack (Alien founder) in California, and it can take quite a while to get the gun back.

reg looks weird.
PRO: the pneumatics and closed off from outside media and crap, so playing in the rain IS a possibility with a poppet!
smoooooooooth as hell!
Sweep bolt really does work and is not a gimmick.
One of the quietest poppets I've ever shot and I've handled many,
Very consistent and efficient out of the box. 45* frame is nice.
4 Eye compatible, I mean comeon... can't hate on that.
Milling is subtle, but very nice.

i have used indys from 08-11 and they are still some of the smoothest poppits on the market.
the 08's had a few problems with the eyes and tolerances but those were quickly fixed in 09. The small profile, lowest maintenance, smooth and quiet shot make this thing a contender to any poppit that is thrown up against it. Although being a small shop, Aliens customer service is one of the best out there, and Jack will help you in any way he can.

The balance of the gun felt great in your hands, and weight wasn't an issue for me. I paired it with a 14" stiffi (I play mid) and had a great time with this gun. You wont be disappointed! I strongly recommend feeling one in person to see if you like it, it has a unique feel to it.

The Brittle Boned Ballers have been shooting our Alien Independences now for two weeks. We ran throught the tough battles of Cousins Big Game and we ran them through some intense practices at our scenario field.
First gun is supper thin and ultra light.
Trigger is super smooth and sensitive.
Full adjustability of the trigger.
Marker is dead on accurate with consistent groupings and no fsdo or random velocity spikes.
Great color options (mine is simple all black)
Very comfortable marker to shoot and easy to switch left to right.
Only negative is some confusing advanced programming modes. Although to switch firing modes is very simple.
Great marker at a great price will compare with any 1500 plus gun out there.
