Pros: comfy, fairly light, poppit (personal preference)
Cons: Loud, Not efficient for todays standards.
I picked it up used for 175 after using a friends axe for a season, and I have to say I'm impressed. It is comparable to the etek 2 & 3, they are both loud and shoot fairly the same, but a used ego goes for much cheaper. As all eclipse funs are, the ego is very reliable, but has some quirks here & there (like having to remove the grips to program it ) As for efficiency, I can get about 7 pods and a hopper off of a 68/3000 tank, which isnt terrible, but newer guns will do better. For a 200$ gun, you cant go wrong. For any more you're better off saving for an Etha.

This was my first high quality marker and I never gave it up. It works marvelously. I never once regretted this purchase and would recommend the Ego line to anyone. If you keep it lubricated on a regular basis, it won't fail you.

Pros: consistency,reliability,easy to clean
Cons: loud, a little recoil, shaft barrel= inaccurate
Love this gun, I bought it from a friend of mine as a backup. When I first shot it, it was horrible. the gun was inaccurate, the consistency was terrible and it chopped every ball. Then when i chrono it, the gun was pushing 200-240 max. So I took it apart and realized that idiot who sold it to me cleaned the outside of the gun, but never ever touch the internals. After cleaning out the reg and the rest of the gun, it chrono 285-295, perfect. the consistency was amazing and no chops. Your first upgrade should be a new barrel with bores (freaks, sly carbon, or dul and shaft 4 if you have the $ for it). Then a new bolt (preferably cure 4) if you are shooting fragile paint. After you match the bore to the paintball, the gun will shoot almost like any other high end markers nowadays. If you can find a rammer kit for it that should be you third upgrade to lower the recoil. Trust me, if you are trying to decide between the mini/axe or ego 6, go with the ego. The axe and minis were built to be $300-$500 markers. The ego 6 was originally a $1000 marker. The difference between the ego 6 and all the other egos aren't that big. Every year, Planet Eclipse release a new marker with one or two minor changes. Sometimes its the bolt, rammer, or even board, but all of the new rammers and bolt fits into the ego 6 and that is why i love egos. The board could always be replaced by a virtue or tadao board. After you upgrade you marker (the bolts and rammers are pretty cheap and the boards without the oled screen sells around 35-45 bucks), your ego will be shooting like a new high end markers.

Planet Eclipse Ego 2006 (Ego6) This was my second high and gun and used to turn heads at the field. Great gun now for the price if you looking to get into the sport late.

Cons: Somewhat loud coming from spool valve
I bought a Krypton Sl66, and I have not looked back since. I love the milling and the efficiency, although as i stated it is somewhat louder coming from shockers/dm's. I love my guns stock, and the SL just does it for me. I also have a Nexus ego, and i love both of the markers. I don't think i will ever shoot anything other than PE, and I used to be a hardcore DYE fan.
