When the first ego came out, I wanted one bad. They looked so sick, but I had a matrix so I had no money/need for a ego. Years later I decided I wanted one again, and it was worth the wait. The milling on this is great and the frame is comfortable. This thing shoots ropes stock. You don't have to buy anything for it, unless you are a ramp fanatic, then you'll new a new board because the stock is capped at 15.4 bps (v1.06). I had never used magnetic trigger, but its so customizable that it didn't take long. Over the chrono with Draxxus bronze, I was shooting +/- 4 at around 290fps. Not too bad at all, but these days there is better. From a 4k fill I got about 9 pods and a hopper from a 70/4500. Thats damn good for most guns. The weight isn't too bad, but when you compare it to a 07, its a bit on the heavy side. The only thing is this is damn loud. Its like having a mini cannon in your hand. If you're looking of a backup, or just don't have the money for a Luxe, this thing does the job just fine.

I have owned DM series, PM series, smartparts, and PE markers. I am very impressed with the reliability only had one leak my whole 3 years of ownership. (Bought it new) Air efficient for its year, and enough for me. I could go through a hopper and 2 pods and still have over 3000 psi. Amazing accuracy also, i have shot bumble bees out of mid air with it. No joke Great backup gun nowadays, or starting gun for a tournament player.
Pros:
Very reliable- had for 3 years and only 1 leak on a very cold day. ONLY PROBLEM
Very accurate- shoots dead on every shot
Efficient
Easy to maintain and clean
Cons:
LOUD- pretty loud marker compared to the DM's and PM's i had before it.

I bought my maker from an old teammate that need some money and to lose some of his guns. Gave me a great price and let me shot it before buying. Also I wanted a ego really bad. So I didnt care what series it was or year it was made. I just want so bad.
I love the way it feels and great speed and also so light to. I have a B2 loader on it. Makes the marker top havey from time to time but that doesnt mean much hue to the body frame and lightness to the maker. It isnt a huge air hog. Also works great with every type of barrel.
Never had a problme with the intrals to the gun so far. Also never had to do alot of work for the gun also. The only think is i had to change the detents after buying the gun just in case they were messed up.
If you ever get your hands on one of this old guns. KEEP IT! use it as a back up or a pracite gun. They will never let you down.

I bought this gun in 2005 when they came out. I took a long break from paintball, and now it's worth $200. Pretty disappointing for me, but certainly a well-priced pickup now. These guns had a design flaw where if you screw the grip screws in too far, they can pierce your solenoid and break a spring in it. Beware of this when buying one. Solenoids are very hard to come by now. Otherwise, the gun works fine...it kicks quite a bit, and is pretty loud, but once you learn how to maintain it you can trust it to work for you.
