Its a great barrel, The rifling is great makes the gun very accurate! the Only problems I've had would be shooting very Big, old, or dimpled paint. when you shoot a ball the rifling spins just like a bullet does in a rifle, If the ball is to big it plugs the barrel up, if its dimpled it spins wrong and causes it to be less accurate. When you shoot old paint the paint usually swells up or gets dimpled. Other than that I would highly reccomend this barrel!

So far I've used my Empire Twister barrel for 3 games this season with my 98 custom ACT w/pmi nitro tank, and it has performed very well. It has shot straight within about 50-75 feet with good, and half way decent paint. However, once you've passed that point of 50-75 ft. you can really tell a difference. The good paint, which happened to be RPS El Tigre from Dick's Sporting Goods (a small to medium sized bore paint), had very little dimples and shot straight all the way until it lost velocity and could be predicted just about every shot. But RPS Stinger paint also bought from Dick's, seemed to be dimpled a lot more and veered of course going in every direction (only after 50-75 feet), making the performance unreliable. Keep in mind, most paintball barrels will only get about 150 feet and then drop off, unless you use a flatline barrel. I must admit reading claims of some other people on another web site discouraged me to buy it. Although, I still had to try it for myself and since then have been very pleased. It does shoot very straight and is predictable provided that you use good undimpled paint of a medium bore size. The internal rifling does not hurt performance in any way, it will however give you a very predictable path to your target. Again, ONLY if you use paint that is the right size and is undimpled. From what i've been reading the barrel size is .688.
