Lets just start this off by saying that I'm taking my review from PBR and basically putting it on here with some changes that I think I should include.
Accuracy - Performance
When using at least halfway decent paint the accuracy is incredible, ball-on-ball even with the stock barrel. Only time it hasn't been was with Monster Balls but...cant expect to much there. After the regulator was broken it the accuracy was a lot better and accuracy was perfect. Was getting like 2+/- consistent. For Accuracy.
Speed - Performance
I think 15 BPS is more than enough to keep you killing on the field IMO. No QEV's makes hardly any noticeable difference. I find it easier to walk the gun with the micro switch compared to the optical. You also get all those ramping modes if your into that and they are easy to adjust (For all these new PSP and Millennium changes). So overall the speed on this gun is fine for me and most other people. For Speed.
Feel - Performance
When I first purchased this gun it was extremely light, specially comparing to most other guns on the market at that time. Now that I own a 07 Ego, the weight is a lot more than I used to think it was but none the less it is a very small and light marker. It feels like a part of you when your holding it. The grips are very comfy, not to big but not to small. The regulator fits my hand very well too. The balance of the marker itself is great and its not to heavy or light in different places. For Feel.
Maintenance - Reliability
If you know the basic part names and structure of an Ego you should be perfectly fine. If not....read the manual (Duh!), that should solve most cleaning or technical problems. As for issue wise, I haven't found anything out of the norm on this gun, a few minor leaks here and there, most caused by me. Tuning the gun is fairly simple to, just make sure you know what your doing. Egos are known for how easy they are to work on and how little problems they cause being that there are so very little amounts of O-rings. For Maintenance and Reliability
Sound and Kick - Performance
So many people say that Ego's kick and are loud, which they can be and usually are but it is greatly exaggerated. Neither of these are very bad and with upgrades and tuning it can be minimized. Of course these are not as good as most spool valve guns (Shockers, Matrix's, etc.) but to me at least this isn't a big deal. If it does begin to be a problem, you can always purchase a Zick Kit (Which I have and it works great) or a Barrel with more porting to lower sound signature. In my opinion, for Sound and Kick. (Hell of a lot better than any Spyder/Tippmann)
Efficiency - Performance
Always been the big thing for the Egos, this ETek is amazing on air. Before tuning the ETek it was getting about a Hopper and 6 Pods off a 68/45 which is extremely good in my opinion. So far it is getting good if not better than my 07 Ego. Not to much more to say about this than it is not a gas hog at all. For Efficiency
Looks - Appearance
The milling on this gun is pretty plain and simple, not to much in depth lines or anything. This is good in most cases as it looks good still and easy to clean, just use a cloth to wipe, then its good. Only has 3 colors to come in though (Black, Olive, and Silver) which is slightly disappointing but nothing to make a big deal about. The annodizing on this gun is good and doesn't fade easy like shockers but is susceptible to scratches fairly easy (Most markers are any ways). This is all a matter of opinion but I think For Looks.
Bang For Buck & Everything Else - Value & Reliability
The price for this marker brand new when it first came out and seemed good. I bought it BNIB and paid $750 for it..then found out I could get a LNIB Ego for around that same price, but that's ok. Great price, especially if it can be found in good condition, used. The only irritating problem I have had with it is that the Power Button cover keeps falling off. I gave PE a call and sent a new one and that fell off to but at least just from that I know they have great customer service, sent it really quick with no questions asked. So For Price and Customer Service.

Customer Service: Planet Eclipse has the #1 best customer service of all paintball companies. Out of all the paintball companies I've delt with, P.E. has been the one that stands out upon the rest. Also, there aren't alot of companies that give you a metal case when purchasing their marker.
Appearance: The etek actually looks very appealing compared to other markers in it's price range. It might not be the lightest and fancy marker out, but it definetely gets the job done without spending alot of cash.
Performance: I was surprised at how well the etek was shooting. Over the chrono I was getting about +/- 2-4 with month old white box paint. If tuned correctly you can easily get little to no kick and great efficiency too. Also, the etek is ready to shoot right out of the box, no need for pricey upgrades. Save the money to go play!
Reliability: Whew, there's nothing on the market today that is easier to maintain or as reliable than an etek. 99% of all highend guns require this lube or that lube after every day of play. The etek requires about two drops of oil on the rammer and vaseline on the regs every 5-10 cases. As long as you have paint and air your etek will shoot.
Value: Planet Eclipse probably produced the etek to give the "not as wealthy" people a chance to own an eclipse marker. I gave it 4 stars on value just because no marker is ever "easy" to resell. You can easily find nice eteks on here for around 350.
Overall the Planet Eclipse Etek is reliable, easy to maintain, and it could be used from beginners to pros. I would give the etek a 9 out of 10 for what you get for the price.

I've been shooting this gun for about 7 months and I bought it used. It has been a great gun. I know 4 other people who have bought this gun recently because of seeing the way it shoots for me. These are people who have shot DM's, shockers, intimidators, angels, and all the other top of the line gun's. The accuracy on the gun is very good, but I wouldn't say it's a bad idea to upgrade the barrel, to a dye ul, pepperstick, or even a sl barrel kit because you will see a noticible differece. When it comes to effeciency that's not bed at all either. I get about 7-9 pods off of a 68/4500 tank. So if you had a 45/4500 tank you would still get plenty of shots off.
This gun is just as reliable as any other ego on the market from what I've seen, all ego's work pretty much th same way internally. I have personally put about 20-25 cases of paint through it, so yes I do play often. The milling on the gun is pretty simple and easy to clean. This gun does have a LPR so it will run on low pressure tank. The gun weighs about 2.47lbs stock so weight isn't really an issue. I would personnal buy this gun over a 2005 ego but probably not the 06. But there's nothing I can really say bad about the gun other than it's got some kick to it which can be fixed with zick kit for about $60, and that it's a little loud ecpecially when you are dryfiring.
If I had to buy 3 upgrades these are what I would get
Barrel: probably the dye ul $100
Zick kit: $50-$60
2008 Star frame: $200

appearenceThis thing looks awesome out of the box. Nothing bad to look about it
Performance The performance is awesome also. I'm shooting about 1 1/2 cases on 2 tanks* and i have about 1000PSI left second time around, So thats over 1500 balls a fill, meaning that that would be almost 12 pods out of a fill. SO I would consider that being an air efficient gun
Relibility Have never had a problem with it. unlike other high end markers that need to be lubed up every time that you play with it, all the eteks need are a minamal cleaning and minamal lubing. I always no matter what type of gun i'm using, I always strip the gun after 5 cases to do a full clean....
Value i'm only guessing when i say this but, i would think that the resale might be a little lower cause i know that there a plenty out there
NOTE: i have aditional after market parts.... zick kit, green laser eyes, virtue board, clamping feedneck, and aftermarket eye covers
* i am using a HP(High Pressure) 68/4500 crossfire

I got my etek used off a friend. The case it comes in is very nice and keeps the marker and barrel safe. The etek looks beautiful, it has nice milling and is very smooth. The trigger feels good to shoot, the grips are comfortable to hold and so is the regulator. It comes stock with an accurate 13 inch barrel, on/off asa, stock ego bolt, and a clamping feedneck. The on/off asa is very easy to use, and the clamping feedneck holds my vlocity jr very well with a nice strong grip. The feedneck is tightened with an allen key, some people might not like this but through my entire time of playing I never remove my hopper so no clamp is fine with me. Playing with the etek it shot ropes and I didn't notice any kick at all while playing. It is efficient and lasts me long enough to about 1500+ off a full 70/4500. The gun has no shoot down with a crossfire LP tank. I love this gun and I always use it over my shocker. The quality is great and it shoots all day with no problems. I do not regret buying this gun at all. And Planet Eclipse's customer service is great and reliable.
