Pros: Fast loader
Cons: Shell hard to assemble
I had one of the original Halo B's. What can I say, it's a Halo, it worked great and fast. One thing I can say about these loaders is they are very durable. One time I was reffing a game at my local field and my friend was using my gun. After the game he got in a fight with someone from the opposite team and dropped my gun. A few paintballs broke inside the Halo and it was a mess. I took it apart to clean, put it back together and it still worked good as new.

I got my Halo, and I loved, it. It never let me down. It was extremely fast, and was just a beast. Only problem is if your a scrawny loser and think its heavy. Also, the shells might crack, but you can get real cheap replacement ones. This is THE best hopper for the price.

After a year of playing nearly every weekend I have never had any problems what so ever with my halo and I know its not the top of the line anymore but it is still my choice in hopper. As well if you really feel the need you can buy a V35 for your hopper and I personally own my year old Halo with a speed feed and a half a year old V35 that has a magnetic lid.

Ive had my halo b for about 4 years and i really love it, it keeps up with me and it doesnt disapoint. THe only thing bad about the hopper is the batter shell if you get shot their it will crack but that is the only thing i encountered wrong with my hopper. Another thing is that it will jam if you dont have good batteries in it.

Cons: heavy, jammed way to often
this hopper is pretty fast and the eyes havent mis "eyed" paint on me yet. the loader is very heavy with the 6 AA batteries that are needed to use it.

I dont know if it was just my hopper or something but every time i used field paint it would jam at least a few times every day... this is the worst problem because it took me over a minute to unjam it on the field and yes i did get bunkered in that time. without the rip drive you have to unload the entire hopper from the lid and with a speed feed it proves to be difficult.

Bottom line: if u really want the halo for its name or something it is a good hopper. but for the price, many new hopppers have come out like the invert too which is supposed to feed about hte same. I ended up upgrading mine wiht the v35 board and a rip drive myself.

Cons: Easy To Break, Shells Cost Money
Well I have bought my first halo a while back and at the time it was the best this since sliced bread to me. Until i really started playing i ended breaking 2 shells very quickly and i wasn't a poor equipment owner. But Im going to do a list of pros and cons for you guys.

Pro's
Pretty Inexpensive
Tournament Grade Hopper
Can Put Out A Pretty Good Amount Of Balls
If The Virtue Chip, The Rip Drive, And The Crown Is Added Its An Amazing Hopper
And It Doesnt Look To Bad
Easy To Clean

Con's
SHELL BREAKS VERY EASILY!!!
Shells Are Around 33 Dollars
Needs Ups To Be Up To Withstand High Grade Guns
Uses To Many Batteries Out Of The Box (6 AA)
Pretty Heavy
Semi Annoying To Take Apart
After About A Year To 2 Years It Requires A New Board

So Overall I Give This Hopper A

C -

Thanks a lot for reading and i hope this helps you with anything.

Cons: weight, reliablity, battery life
Ive used this loader for a long time, But only becuase there isnt anything better on the market. I expect to switch soon.

Its the heaviest to mounting loader available. you can help this with rechargables, or a dual 9V mod.
the motors can and do burn out regularly. the belt can and do wear out. the feednecks tend to snap requiring a whole new shell. The lid system is terrible though the B2 magnetic shells and lids work with this, and helps.

Dissasembly and cleaning is tedious, lots of screws.

HOWEVER this loader has the manual rip, with in the case of battery failure, is huge. the pulse and Vlocity dont. with some spring adjustment, it can power though reball jams, but still can also not crush paint.

With the new loaders now coming out, it seems that this is no longer the best comprmise of everything out there. But the up side of that is that these will be made more available.

Pros: Full capable electric loader compared to high-ends
Cons: Shell is weak, a little heavy
I got this from my friend for free. I have one of the originals made back in 2001 and it works very well for my purposes. If you have one like mine, make sure you check the wires and battery pack for corrosion. I thought my board went out, but it was the corrosion eating all my power. I now have a Halo B with a virtue board in it and it works super well. Pressing the power button unjams the hopper if it ever locks up (which it has never done at least during my use of it). The virtue LEDS also help a lot in telling the user if the product is working, battery is low, etc. Overall, this hopper is a great product for those who are beginning and well seasoned in the sport of paintball.
