Reviewing this product now after almost 10 years of using it.. Still a staple in the loader market. A loader that did not need many changes from its original release still widely used today and used by me as my backup almost 8 years from purchase. Will always be one of the best!

Let me just say first that is review is subjective, so don't blow me up for this.

The good:
This this is as fast as it needs to be. I went straight from a gravity to a Halo, and I must say this thing is fast. I have yet to have had a break on any gun I've used, from 98c's to my friends shocker. It can keep up with the best of 'em.
And its reliable. This is the subjective part. I haven't had a single chop at all...EVER!! The halo feeds faster than the gun can shoot. Full auto-piece of cake. Ramping-no problem. But whether I'm just lucky or not is to be seen.

The bad:
this thing is heavy. Fully loaded it weight about as much 2 pods. I haven't weighed it so don't quote me... seriously... don't quote me.
its also not very balanced, but you really shouldn't care much.
Also the feed neck/ shell sux. it broke after a while and as i was replacing it the screw shattered the old shell.

The ugly...
The thing is ugly. but that's just me..

Overall: great Hopper if your looking for speed. It rapes... 'nuff said. mGet a replacement shell when you buy it though.

I love my Halo B. It's more than fast enough for my low-end electronics (spyders, a couple low end EP's), and reliable too. A speed feed like a Virtue Crown is a great addition, as well as the triple 9v mod to replace the heavy 6 AA battery pack.

Cons: just about everything else. see review
Ok, to start: it never chopped. huge plus. BUT: it stopped up all the time in game. it stops working randomly. it eats batteries. it isnt worth the money. i got it and it worked great, but i was new to paintball. for starters... its good. once you get into it it just doesnt cut it. for starters there is a learning curve. i guess its good for learning people because it helps with learning the electronics. but the only thing is: you learn pretty fast you might as well move on to better loaders. the stopping constantly and the constant unreliability killed its chances. sorry, but i did not like this loader. moving on

Cons: Heavy, jams, needs to reset after jam
For some reason the formula 13 paint jams in this loader. I upgraded a ripdrive to it and it still jams after clearing the jam. The 6 batteries doesnt help the weight. It is easy to disassemble though. When a jam does occur you need to turn it off, fix the jam and then turn it on.

I bought a cheap one that when I recieved it, I thought it was all broken up and done. But after some tape fixes, it was the best hopper I ever had. Very reliable, very fast, and definetly one of my favorite purchases. If you can ever find one for cheap but still works, buy it and fix it up, definetly worth the value

Odyssey Halo Belt Driven Loader This was my first hopper I used for several years. It does the job, but could be lighter and easier on batteries. I heard good things about the Halo too and may move to that for my next marker.
