1. GEAR DRIVE. (Gear reduction makes this the easiest asa to turn on and off.)
2. XPRESS MOUNT. ( Our new mounting system.)
3. LINE BLEED. ( After turning the system off, the asa will bleed any air from the lines.)

hands down the best ASA available. the mounting system is really simple and straightforward, easy to install. its very stable, it will never come loose or wiggle around at all. a whole lot of thought went into designing this ASA. I was a little worried about not having a rail to fine tune the position of my tank, but I found that after mounting it on my gun, my tank was the perfect distance away from my grip frame. the macro fitting coming out the front is a major plus, i can't stand having a macroline elbow sticking out the side of my ASA. the gear driven knob is really nice. its smooth and easy to turn, and unlike some similar on/off ASAs, the knob spins in place instead of moving forward/backwards on threads.
the only downside i can think of is the price. it does cost a bit more than others, but i found it to be well worth the money.

Love direct mount asas, and there aren't too many. CP direct mount sticks out in the back too much for me... i don't know of any other direct mount on/offs that are currently made (only other one i've had was a Function push-button, but had no bleed).
Sold some old stuff to pick up a Gear Drive without hurting the wallet. Put it on a PM5 w/ a long Sidewinder, straight fitting on both the reg & asa = a really short, straight shot line of macro. Looks real clean.
I like how it mounts, even though it uses a series of set screws. There's 2 bolts that screw into the grip with an allen, and the Gear Drive slides onto em. Then 4 set screws keep it in place. But it probably allows more room in the asa itself so it didn't have to be longer or fatter to accomodate the airway.
Turning the knob is fun, the soft click click click has a certain satisfaction to it, like popping bubble wrap. Engages the tank's valve pin nice & easy, and just as easy to dial out to completely purge the air.
Available in a few different colors. Not a huge variety, but more than just black.
Price is a big concern, cuz the list price is $60. Selling crap i didn't want/need covered the cost for me, but the average player looking to drop hard-earned cash may want to reconsider.

I got my asa in a trade(explaining my price) and I have to say it is with out a doubt my favorite asa. The knob is smooth and fluid, its compact and mounts directly to your gun, fitting comes out the front so you dont have any fittings digging into your wrist. My only complaint is its price, but honestly I think its worth it.

The gear drive has got to be the most complex ASA EVER made. However despite all the internal parts it is very smooth, easy to use, compact and works well. I like the PE POPS ASA better for simplicity and ease of use, but the POPS isn't very compact and without the t-rail you need the adapter which makes it stick out even more.
The gear drive is very small, direct mount, looks great and well made by perhaps the best gun company on the planet.
Pros:
1. small
2. direct mount
3. front hose fitting
4. very easy to use
Cons:
1. no adjustment for position
2. A lot of internal parts
Conclusion:
These are great ASA's. Now that I have one, I will be getting a few more.

Like the pros and cons state, it's an amazing ASA that keeps everything in-line and doesn't have any macroline off to the sides.
Other than that, the geardrive can be hard to turn, especially if it just took a hit and is covered in paint.
I DO prefer the Cam drive over the Geardive.

I had one of these a while ago. When mounting it to a frame, it is very solid! The fact that the macroline comes out the front and not out of the side is a nice +. The anno finish on these are high quality. My only complaint is that when you use the on/off screw, it was very finicky. Sometimes it would be to much, sometimes not enough, take a dive and it would shut off. Maybe i had a bad one but i have other preferences after that.
