OK, to start off I'm making this review because I have seen one too many threads in the DYE/Proto section asking about if this bolt is worth it. On another note I no longer have my PMR. I traded it for my PM6 a couple weeks ago, but I did extesive testing on this bolt trying to find out if it was actually better than the stock bolt.

Looks
Ok, so because we all like how our guns looks inside and out I'm going to tell you this bolt will make your internals look hot as hell! haha. the orange color mixed with the white of the delrin looks pretty cool poking out the holes in your manifold.

Packaging
Comes in not so special packaging. Just a little plastic box. The bolt comes with all necessary o-rings on it.

Performance Testing
So the bolt is obviously very easy to put in. Take everything out of the PMR unscrew the beer can from the manifold slide the stock bolt out and pop in the orange bolt.

After lubing the bolt and putting it back into the gun I aired up and no leaks. HORRAY! I dry fired it a bit and didn't notice any significant performance increases. Then i shot some paint and noticed it was shooting a little hot.

I then proceeded to tune the dwell and velocity with my hand held chrono and I got the dwell down from 23 to 19 and lowered my HPR to shoot at 290 fps. It read over the chrono 288,288,290. Pretty good.

Now for the kick test...balancing the marker with one finger i fired the marker and noticed little to no kick...but then when i had my stock trigger in i never really noticed any kick either. So i put the stock bolt back in and reset my gun to its previous settings and put a pod of paint through it trying my absolute best to pay attention to the kick and velocity spread. the chrono read 287, 292, 291. Then I put my orange bolt back in my gun and set it to my orange bolt settings. I ran another pod through it paying attention to kick and surprisingly to me I really could feel the difference. It wasn't kicking at all compaired to the slight kick with the stock bolt. And over the chrono the second time it read 290, 291, 290.

A few weeks before I traded my PMR I also did an efficiency test with both bolts. Testing with my crossfire 68/4500 low pressure tank. With the stock bolt I shot 140 paintballs (a whole pod counted out) and went through 500PSI. This is 1260 shots on a full fill. I then put my orange bolt back in the gun with my orange bolt settings and shot 140 paintballs (again counted out) and this time I went through 400PSI. This is 1575 shots which is a little more than 2 more pods off a fill. Thats pretty good...especially if you're a back man.

Also while shooting the two bolts one after another I found that the orange bolt made the PMR a bit quieter than it was with the stock bolt. This is because I was able to lower dwell and HPR due to the light weight of the bolt.

Again I am in no way biased to this bolt, and everything that I have said is the complete truth. Here is a picture of my orange bolt in my gun when I had my PMR. I took it for trading purposes.

After reading through people's opinions on the bolt in the DYE/Proto forum this bolt seems to be hit or miss. I don't know if people are throwing the bolt in not thinking they have to tune it or if its some kind of other user error but a lot of people say this bolt does nothing for their marker. For me its hard to believe them because my bolt has given me such better performance.

Pros: -light -looks cool -slightly less kick
Cons: -had to do fix it
I recently bought an Orange bolt for my 2010 PMR, and when i intalled it, it gave me some trouble but i was able to fix it. (please look here for a more detailed account http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3802131 )

But, when i had corrected the problem, I was pleased by the Orange bolt's performance. I did notice less kick on semi and when shooting short bursts (could not tell as much when ramping) and i also had to lower my fps a little to lower it back down to 285 (stock bolt fps was 285, when i installed the Orange bolt i was shooting 295-300 untill i lowered it) All in all, besides having to fix a minor problem, I am very pleased with my purchase.
