Adjustable waist with velcro closures makes a perfect fit every time, while the inner leg venting will keep you cool under fire. The lightweight design allows you to be comfortable, while the super-strong construction will hold up to aggressive play. Reinforced padded knee panels give protection against knee impacts and vented cargo pockets allow you to carry what you need. The combination zipper and button crotch panel is padded and helps protect what's important. The sublimated paneling on the sides keeps bright and clean after washing. Leg piping and microinjection logos finish this pant off with a cool look and great style.

Mesh inside is a little bit annoying, some people I know cut it out (not the vents in the pants, but the weird kiddy swimsuit-like liner).
Knees could use more padding, but you should really use knee pads anyway if you need knee padding.

I bought the proto 07 pants back in 07 and used them until december of 08 these were very reliable pants, they did not rip i used them until they got too small then i got new pants. they are very vented and light. these pants were great starter pants and are nicely put together. They do not have alot of padding though. I had to wear slider shorts and knee pads under these still. With my 09 empires i obviously dont even need either but for intense outings i'll be wearing knee pads!
Back to the proto pants. they look ok preform well and were very reliable pants. the 08 and 09 pants are even better though. Proto pants FTW if you are on a budget or just are too proud to buy dye pants and live with the fact that you spent 150. lol
