I traded for my ego. This is hands down the best marker I currently own. I love every aspect of it from the easy to clean breach to the LCD screen. This gun is extremly light and easy to handle. Very easy to setup with the LCD screen everything is straight forward unlike the LED were you have to guess what color is what. Another reason I like the gun is because it does not need any upgrades to become a good marker. The gun is ready to rip right out of the box.

used a couple of these for the vicious series and its by far one of the worst guns i've used. very loud to the point it was difficult to hear my coaches and teammates. extremely inaccurate. everytime a ball came out of the barrel i had no idea where it was going. aside from how easy it was to maintain i liked nothing about this gun. maybe the one i used was tuned poorly, but i'll never pick up another ego again.

Luckily for me I snagged one of these for dirt cheap in a deal with someone i knew...but they still hold decent resale value right now. This altogether is a great gun, I haven't had mine too too long but this thing absolutely rips right out of the box no questions asked. When I say that I mean one of the best things about this gun is that I don't have to display my endless list of ups like an angel or timmy because the stock internals are light and work just fine, no bolt mods no nothing just don't touch this gun!
Now you may lay your hands on the stock barrel, feel free to rip that thing off the bore is huge and it's performance is a bit disappointing, but what are you gonna say it's a stock barrel one piece 12. they didn't make it to impress just to swap out...any tourni player will want their own barrel kit soon enough. I would suggest the sL or a FREAK and nothing else on this gun. Currently I run an all black on black Ego7 with my freak and it's just amazing. Love the trigger on this gun, so fast and easy stock one of the best things about it, easy to adjust as well.
One of the things that I may comment on that you might not have seen in other reviews is just the emphasis on how good this gun is stock! If you're lucky enough to get the case and originals you will be impressed. The gun case is great, comes with nice oil and all necessary tools for cleaning, but the manual is colored and very in depth and easy to use, as is the board once you read the manual.
The fact of the matter is a tourni player needs a light, comfortable gun and for the price of one right now you can't beat this gun! Lighter than a marq, just as comfy as a DM but easier to use and lighter as well. The only cons are the stock barrel isn't so hot so for the first day you have the gun you won't be shooting 100% ropes big whoop, still rips no matter where they go...and once you wise up and make the simple purchase of a freak/SL kit (don't suggest a UL because that's just gonna be a 688 most likely so you'll have your one big and one mid then nothing else just go with a freak or SL kit) then you'll be set. No one should ever swap out this trigger it's amazing that would be an insult, stock reg is light and nice looking, would hate to see the typical cp reg on one of these...but that's just my opinion.
A- for resale and stock barrel, but these are too things that almost any high end gun gets killed on so it's still a worthy purchase right now. The best gun I could compare this to is a Dm7 as it has similar resale value, weight and size but truth be told an ego requires no bolt mods, not an air hog, lighter and easier to maintain imo, dye fans may disagree but I love how this gun looks. It's actually got it's own style that sets it apart from everything else out their with the extended tale style look. Every DM looks...the same. The GEO is simple the light closed bolt version, but doesn't have the same distinction from other guns an EGO has. For players looking for more style out of their EGO7 there's a ccu color swap kit that I see from time to time in gearbag sales for cheap and whatnot, or one can be purchased new for under $100 I believe that's the MSRP on that kit...but nonetheless a great way to get the NINJA'd, VAMPIRE, DARK, WHITE KNIGHT, etc. look you'll see in the trading forums lol. Mines all black and love it. Best purchase in all my history of paintball and I've been playing since I was 14, as you can see from my join date...Freak kit goes along with that too lol just wish I could have found one a bit cheaper.

Very consistent, accurate, and reliable. I love how easy they are to maintain and take care of. Not hard at all. They are light, the stock boards are great, and the shaft barrels are considered one of the best barrels out there. The colors are always good with planet eclipse. If you havent tried an ego then u havent played paintball. Go get one today.
