Cons: air efficiency
i bought my dm7 in 2007 as an all clear colored gun (silver), it had very few black parts on it, my teammate bought a ninja (black) dm7 the same month, and we swapped parts (mine was a 1 of 1 storm trooper swapped parts dm7) his was a 1 of 1 dark trooper swapped from my parts,

i wish i could find either one of them on pbnation or ebay, i would buy either one of them in a heart beat

i learned how to throw a paintball in the air and shoot it with my light trooper dm7, and it was basically the gun that brought me out of the rookie days

Dye Precision Dye Matrix 7 (DM7) First dye gun, loved it. It was a bit heavy. Shot great and was quiet. Could have come with a case.

Pros: light, quiet, fast, smooth
Cons: not the most efficent
Finally picked up a DM7 for my own christmas present - a SE Skull Camo m7. Let me say it's one of my favorite markers I've ever shot, owned, or played with.

Very quiet, very fast, very smooth shooting - everything I look for in a marker. Add in to it very nice milling, the wonderful to hold UL frame, and a wonderful anno job makes it that much better. Reliability has been great - I clean and lub the bolt after each day of play and have not had a problem with it.

The only con I can see is it's not the most efficent but honestly that doesn't bother me as I typically only play with 4 pods and a hopper of paint. My DM7 gets about 1300 shots per 68/4500 (or about 8-9 pods and a hopper of paint) fill and that's more than I carry on me so it's fine.

Dye Precision Dye Matrix 7 (DM7) The dm7 to me was the best shooting dye matrix until the dm11. It was pretty much the best strap ever made.

Shoots amazing stock.

I currently have a red/black fade one that I picked up for dirt cheap, like under $300.

And you don't really need any upgrades. Maybe an eye pipe, and feedneck, but that is really it.

I have owned dm8/ego8/borg rx/etc,

and my current dm7 is my best and favorite gun.

Pros: Kick,air efficent, Quiet
Cons: Maintaining
The Dm7 is a great Gun, I enjoyed my even though I only had it for a short period of time. The gun has virtually no kick and is quiet air efficent and is very quiet due to the spool valve. The only thing I do not like about it is, that there are a little harder to maintain they require much more cleaing and oiling of O rings and it is a little harder to do and a little more time Consuming.
