Pros: smooth, features
Cons: features
Overall was not too disappointed with the DM8. Dye has always pumped out some of the smoothest cutting edge guns and this one was no different. The comfortable UL frame and innovative self-cleaning eye system made this gun a comfort on the field. The DM8 also comes with all the top of the line accessories that Dye strives to create like their Hyper3 regulator, clamping feedneck, on/off purge system, UL barrel, and super slim UL frame. These guns do need to be maintained regularly and taken care of properly, ignoring this fact can lead to an eventual road block with the gun. The brilliant eye pipe system can prove to be quite fragile and has tendencies to crack and break over time.

Pros: Smooth, shoots great, quiet
Cons: Kind of touchy
The Dm8 is hands down the best year for Dye. They shoot smooth, consistent, feel comfortable, are light and are fairly cheap (used). The dm8 has no eye covers, and uses the eyepipe system, and my favorite thing about them is the reg spacing. Nothing like it.
