Pros: Eyes, Looks
Cons: Weight, Loud, Grips
So, I picked up an MR2 a month or two ago and was fairly impressed. Here are some reasons why:

Performance - We took it down to the local field and played some airball with it. I know its not an airball gun but whatever. So we played for a couple of hours and at the end of the day we were happy with it. The eyes functioned great, it didnt chop at all. For a 200 dollar gun from Spyder it shot well. They only major problem was the sound. In comparison to other markers this one must have been atleast twice as loud. And that is due to the barrel as well. Oh and one more thing. Spyder claims to be shooting this gun at 25 BPS, and there is no way that is true. With eyes on (semi) you can get 12 BPS out of the gun but with Eyes off I reached somewhere from 15 - 17 BPS. Not bad, but not what they said on the website.

Appearance - In my opinion this is one sexy gun. It doesnt go overboard on the military look but the gun still looks menacing. The matte black finish resembles that of actual rifles and rail on top is not only stylish but functional. Its the perfect place to mount scopes and what not. Mounting something on the rail gives it some elevation off the marker which allows you to actually use the scope rather than be blocked by your helmet. The grips are not my favorite. To tell you the truth I dont even like them. Straight out of the box they were... gaped... away from the frame to the point where i could stick my pinky in there. They have a very plasticy feel and become slippery when you get paint on them. The last thing is the stock. Very easy to remove and replace. All it takes is one allen screw, and they provide an allen key for you. I think the stock looks better the the MR1 and MR3 stocks as well and other stocks by Tippmann.

Overall/Miscellaneous -
I like the gun and its a good buy for 200. There are a bunch of upgrades for it (boards, grips). But alot of the things on the gun arent standard. The only thing you could possibly get from a Third Party is a board or a barrel. Even scopes are hard to come by that will mount on the rail. You can remove the rail but then your helmet is in the way of you seeing through your scope. I had to buy the official spyder scope, which isnt too bad but its not too great either. Another great thing about the gun is how you switch modes. On the back of the grip there is an LED, a button and a 3 position switch. The LED tells you whether your eyes are working, the button is to turn eyes on and off and the switch is to changes modes. Its not like the SP-8 where you have to cycle between modes and guess to whether your eyes are working. The only problem here is that the switch is a little flimsy and i feel like ill break it if i apply too much pressure. But I'll just have to be careful.

Pros
Apearance
Eyes
Rechargable Battery
The Stock
Switching Modes
Not bad on CO2
Delrin Bolt
Velocity Adjuster Accessiblity

Cons
Heavy
Loud
Grips
Non-Standard ASA
Non-Standard Drop
Iron Sight
Maintenance

I would recommend this gun to anyone who wants a scenario gun but doesnt want to fork over the cash to buy an A5 and all the ungrades you'll to get to make it usable. Its a great gun, just a bit heavy.

well..I got my mr2 w/eyes when the first came out last month. first impression out the box is this is a very wel built gun. when i charged it up and used it for the first time it worked like a charm, although it shot rather hot out the box (325fps) but thats a easy fix as there is a velocity adjuster on it that is easily accessiable. now as for the stock barrel i never had success with it with the regular mr2 that i had,and not much changed for this one either so i purchased a jj 14" barrel which works just fine. the eye function is very good and does its job well as i have a fasta hopper...and can shoot this gun full auto with no problem i have put cases after case of paint through it with no breaks...now i have to say you have to get a force fed loader with this gun or your experience could be a little dirrerent than mine...that being said i also purchased a qloader which i havent used but once (trying to get it hooked up properly) but is wonderful. the mr2 w/eye looks just like the non-eye version aside from minor differnces (eye covers)...the modes and eye on/off marker on/off buttons are located on the back of the hand grip and are rather exposed (but i have played in wet weather and never had a prob) but they are very convienient as you can switch modes or toggle gun on/off on the fly...now i have owned and know other that hav owned other guns that you cant do this with(like an sp8 for example) you can not switch modes without taking the gun somewhat apart. so if you want a very durable reliable gun that imho is one of the best mil-sim guns out then you want to pick one of these up....its worth the money and very upgradeable...GET IT YOU WON'T BE DISSAPPOINTED, IM NOT thats why i give it a 9 out of 10 (theres always room for improvment)
