For this review, i am mostly going to compair the Minion to the ProtoMatrix 6 Marker.
Appearence: Well, this is a hard one to rate, because everyone has their opinions. But, one think i can say, and i think most people will agree, one of the great apperal upgrades this marker has over the ProtoMatrix6, is the fact that the Eye covers are no longer Rubbery strips.
Performance: I cannot rate this gun as stock, because i did not own the gun with the stock board or barrel, But from what i can tell, with an after market board, the gun can still keep up with all the other high end markers in the market. The barrel that i have is fine, The stock back with a Stiffi Tip, if you use good paint, It works well.
Reliability: The Minion never broke down on me, so I'd give it a good grade when it comes to reliability.
Value: For the Price i paid (Aprox $400) it is a very solid and great gun, I would defiantly recommend it to anybody that is looking in the price range, but if you don't want to spend around $400, you could just pick up a PM6 for $250+. its essentially the same gun, but without some nice extras the Evil Minion gives.

The Setup
Red Minion
Halo w/ Rip
Crossfire 68/4500
This marker is exacly the same as the Proto Matrix 6. Only thing different about this marker is it has an Evil design milled into the body and an Evil Barrel. All parts besides body and barrel are the same on this gun as the PM6 including: Frame, Reg, Internals, ASA, and the Feedneck.
Alright so know thing is just a PM6 with a different body, lets move on. Being this is a spool valve, the feel of this gun when firing is going to be really smooth. It is very quiet and even when firing in high speeds it hardly even moves, so no complaints there. The accuracy on this marker is good, nothing to brag about though. The consistancy on this stock minion was about 12+/-. I have seen a lot better but it will put your paint where you need it. Along with being natrually accurate, I had no problems with this stock minion with chopping. I used XBall Silver and PMI Premium in it, and had no chopping or ball breaking problems. With the stock frame this gun feels extremely bulky, as does the stock PM6 frame. It would be a wise choice to purchase a Ultralite Frame if you feel the stock frame is uncomfortable. Inside of the frame we got a pretty mediocre board in my opinion. Capable of 15 BPS in Semi only, that leaves a lot to be desired with a aftermarket board or the Ultralite Frame.
If your picky about ease of use like me, then you also might want to consider buying a lever clamping feedneck, as the stock Minion only has a allen tightening one. Another thing that could be changed is the Proto ASA that comes on the Minion, it does have an on/off which is nice but it isnt the easiest to turn while dealing with a air tank. Besides the bulky frame, the only other main issue is efficency, which could be a lot better. I got about 1 hopper and 4 pods on a 68/4500. Maintainence on this marker isnt that much of a hassle, just pop out the bolt and lube all the orings every time you play. Long as you do that the gun usually stays in good shape. There will always be occasions where an oring will just be to old and break, or something will go wrong and a leak or drop off will arise, and when that happens you can always contact Dye (Yes...you can contact Dye even though its an Evil Marker. Minions are made in the Dye Factory.) and they will try and help you out. So the main question....is it worth it? If you looking for a good basic spool valve gun, thats a little different from the crowd, then it sure is. Works fine long as you treat it well, and now in 2008, it dosnt really cost that much to buy.
Pros 1. Accurate (Consistancy is decent, and dosnt chop)
2. Looks Good (Little Unique with Evil Logo)
3. Light (Up to par with most other guns in its price range)
4. Smooth (Very quiet, and has little to no kick)
5. Speed (15 Balls Per Second)
6. Maintaince (Lube the bolt and your set)
7. Customer Service (Backed By Dye, Well Known)
Cons 1. Efficency (Hopper and 4 Pods, Could be better)
2. Frame (Very Bulky)
3. Board (Only has Semi with 15 BPS Cap)

This marker is great. I love how pm6 aftermarket parts fit on it. I have upgraded mine to the max. I have a Ul frame, lucky board, tadao m6 chip, laser eyes, hybrid grips, headlock hybrid feed neck, and grabbed a Eclipse SL barrel kit and this thing rips!
It's quiet and great for speedball or woodsball. I currently use it as my primary gun and this is one of my favorites!
After a day of play....just lube the bolt and your ready to go!
I go the distance with mine and relube the hyper two regulator and Low pressure regulator every 6-7months.
If you ever need help, the evil forum is pretty friendly and will definatley help ya out!
