Smarts parts Milsim entry level electropneumatic marker with high end performance. Runs on Co2 and Compressed air. Semiauto, 3 round burst and full auto modes that switch on the fly. Low force bolt technology. Shares the same platform as the Vibe.
The SP-1 is a great marker for the price paid. For veterans and new players alike, you can not go wrong with this marker.

I just purchased the newest SP-1 with the blackheart board and eyes just below the hopper. This gun is awesome!! Some thing I would recommend is purchasing a dye rotor hopper so that it can keep up, and literally shoot ropes of paint. With the built in eyes and blackheart board this gun can easily put out 20+ bps. It's a very versatile gun, great for woods ball or speed ball. very easy to clean, doesn't chop balls. I would recommend a longer barrel besides the stock barrel. Make sure when you use grease that is recommended by smart parts. I had to find that out the hard way I love the rails that are on the gun because of the things you can do with it. I would recommend this gun to anyone who is looking for a reliable gun that is great for any situation.

Ive been playing with a Tippman A-5 ever since it came out. My main game is woodsball. Now personally I believe that the A-5 was the best gun released thus far by Tippman. The X-7 is just a re bodied A-5 AKA Tippman's silly marketing. I heard a few friends talking about the new SP-1's and it sounded interesting. Low PSI, no chopping AND it doesn't get affected by water!? Sounds right up my alley..
Few days later picked one up at my local PB shop. All I can say is W@W!! With stock 10" barrel I was shooting clear across a private field. It is super quiet compared to the Tippman's which gave away everyone's positions! Blew off 6 pods and 3/4 of a hopper on a single 20oz Co2! My A-5 could never do that not to mention the fact that I chopped 6 to 10 balls on average out of 10 games with the A-5.
Ive yet found a gun that performs like a Smart Parts and to this day I no longer own a Tippman. Traded it for a 68/45 HPA tank and now I dominate the field of Tippman's. Planning on a 16" barrel and QLoader to finish it off. This by far the best woods gun to date. I recommend it to all my friends and at least 3 have bought in and love them.
So final Conclusion is this gun is great for woodsball. Awesome craftsmanship and I highly recommend this gun for any beginner on a budget!

Had it for a couple days now and just got to shoot it. When it first arrived though out of the box it didn't have the two grip screws for the left side anywhere to be found, just emailed smart parts and they immediately are sending them out because their support rocks. Select Fire is an awsome setting and helps you adapt to the different situations you may find yourself in, in an instant. Pretty light, has great features(including BOB, which makes it that much better), nice 11bps for a woods gun, maxflow-r regulator so you don't neccissarily need anti-siphon co2 tanks cause it will vent any build up of pressure from co2 conversion into gas, low pressure bolt anti chip system, easy programing and all around perfect gun for the price range. recommend this to anyone who has the money and is looking for a great gun at his level.....best woods gun around 150, would take this over any tippmann(no offense but this is better). Get it if you're thinking about it.

I have been using this Marker for better part of a year and I have put it thru its paces. Went from playing with a UPPED Mirco E-Mag to this and I prefer the SP-1 much more. With Just a few adds the performace was there. Changed out the Stock barrel with a Freak and I got the shot grouping I wanted.
Got 6 pods and a Hopper out of a 68/45 with a little still in the tank. My Emag would be dry after 6 pods and have about a full hopper.
It has great balance with tank on gun, easy to shoulder and aim with. I can shoot a barrel poking out from behind cover at about 30 feet or a hopper at 50 plus. Thats single or two balling it. Not spraying and praying.
Light tigger so getting it up to its max rate of fire is not hard at all.
So if you are getting in to Woodsball I think this Marker is worth its price.

As a recreational player, I just want a marker that will work every time, won't chop paint, and is simple to clean/maintain. That is what you get with the SP-1. The fact that it gets lots of positive comments on appearance, is relatively quiet, and is clearly a step above entry-level at an entry-level price is icing on the cake.
After the 1st day of play, we sold our other (blow-back) markers. No springs, takes CO2 or HPA/Nitro, and no need to cock before shooting all made me not want to keep my old guns even as a backup. After playing, clean-up and lube takes about 5 minutes (other markers can take the better part of an hour): see the SP-1 videos on the SmartParts.com website.
I can shoot cheap W@l M@rt paint all day and never chop a ball. No eyes to get messed-up if you did break one or two. Of course a 17+ bps marker is faster, but 11 bps is plenty fast for me. At the slightly lower speed, you don't need a high priced Halo or Reloader-B loader. A $50 electronic loader will do the job perfectly. Our local field is probably going to change their rental markers to the SP-1.
Smart Parts customer service is great if you ever need help. Recently they offered a free upgrade to existing customers, when they enhanced the SP-1 & Vibe. What other company stands behind their product like that? The PBNation and SmartCorps forums have outstanding support for the SP-1 too.
Last but not least, upgrades are out now. Locking feed neck, sights, 2-finger triggers, boards, bolts, and stocks... Just about any Impulse/Smart Parts thread barrel will fit. I use a remote line, lower-priced steel tank, and a belt pack; so that I can keep the SP-1 light and maneuverable. With the SP-1, I can go head-to-head with any of the other recreational players in woodsball or speedball.

This gun is simply amazing smart parts has come a long way. This gun can and will beat most mech guns with electronic grips. it beats by a5 in performance and price. for 150 you really can't go wrong. watch the vids on their website about the gun. a man put his tung in the gun to prove that the anti chop works that proves alot. even tho the gun does not have eyes it uses a low force bolt so it hardly every chops. i got the gun in november of 07 and i have play about 20 time sense then and i can say honestly i have had ZERO NONE NO chops. like i said for 150 keep it as a back up or use it as a primary it works flawlessly.
the appearance is good i gave it a 4 becuase there is a million rails and i am not a rail guy even tho they make it alot easier to put things on it like sights, scopes, lights, lasers ect.
performance- this gun competes with the best on mech guns buy it use it, it works
Reliability- i know everytime i pull the trigger the gun is going to work and in the case it doesn't i open up the back pull out the bolt lube and its going to work. its simple to fix
Value- for 150 you can't go wrong i bought this gun as a backup and now use it as my primary because it works every time every shot
overall BUY IT NOW ORDER NOW i am serious if you have any interest in the gun don't think twice just order for 150 you simply can't go wrong i bought it and can't put it down
***** 5 stars for smart parts on this one!!!

i bought this because i was frustrated with my tippmanns always breaking down.i was surprised at much quieter it was, and very accurate considering the stock barrel.it is easy to use,and switching firing modes is a breeze.this marker has so many advantges over anything tippmann makes that its almost unfair.i have had no problems with it since new.as a matter of fact, i was so impressed with it after its first day in the field, i bought two more on my way home!!!!if you want a seriously reliable marker that is easy to use and maintain, buy this marker.i have modified the bejeezuz out of it.now it has a clamping feedneck,c-series barrel w/apex,carr stock, halo,cp regulator, virtue board, and a custom paint job.i cant complain at all!!!i made all these mods not because the gun needs it to perform, but because there are days when the beast inside comes out to play, and then i challenge the entire crowd to a game. the kiddies seem to like a 25 on one game, but they havent won one yet because this is a great gun, and i always recomend it to guys who are just starting out,or are looking for something better, because its a super value, and very reliable

I've only have had it for a few months and just used it last weekend. Being the first time that I used it, I was very impressed with its performance. The only upgrades i have for it are a J&J S2 barrel and Hybrid grips. The barrel made a huge difference. This marker didnt chop at all and didn't have any problems. I recommend this marker to anyone on a budget or to any beginner. I rate it very high with all the markers I've used in the past.
