I first got this gun about 2 years ago, it being my first gun i was super excited to get on the field with it. And when i did i had an absolute blast, i recommend this gun to anyone who is first starting out in paintball. This gun really is talked bad about but i never had a problem with mine, yes this is a very quirky gun. The first generation mini's had a lot of problems, from the gun turning off to it turning into a Campbell's paint and soup machine (ball chopper). But the newer models are much better and fixed up. The stock barrel isn't really good, i recommend buying a new barrel (i bought a 14' cp one piece classic) Other than that this gun is awsome!

Pros: Great bang for the buck
Cons: Board, size
Had my mini for a little over six months now. Overall it has performed great for the price. Great gun for beginners/smaller players.

Performance: Performs well on the field. Doesn't sound too loud, I haven't really noticed any kick on the gun.

Reliability: About three months after I got it the board just decided to quit. Empire was great and sent me another one without any problems. Doesn't require a lot of maintenance, just every once in a rare while put some lube on the o-rings.

Ergonomics: To me personally, I don't really like the feel of the gun. The back grip is uncomfortably small to me. I think it would be great for smaller players though.

I've had things gun for a little over a year. It is definitly starter friendly. I've played against guys with high end markers and kept up with them with ease. The only negative thing about the gun is that the only problems I've had it started with the solenoid. Overall good starter gun and is a reasonable price.

I have a Green Invert Mini, with upgraded Trigger, Virtue Board, TechT Bolt. With a Dye Rotor and Empire 68 4500 tank.

I love my mini and have used it for 2 years now. It has almost never let me down. I've blown the solenoid twice, mostly my fault, but I wish the mini's would operate on a slightly higher internal pressure, but anyway I love it.

I recommend buying this marker as an entry level marker, or armature level gun.

Pros: light, compact, reliable
Cons: asa, feedneck
I have had this mini for a while and i think its time to do a review for it.

When i first got the mini i was amazed at how well it performed.
The trigger is down right the best part of the mini, it is very sensitive and easy to walk.
The feedneck is not very good but with some tightening and some quirks it should be fine.
The asa will need to be upgraded. even though i havent done so yet.
The packaging is very nice.
The barrel is only 12 in, but it will still shoot straight.
All in all i would rate the mini 5 outta 5 stars just because the only cons can be fixed very simply.

Gun is amazing and great for people who want to get into paintball/speedball. I upgraded everything on mine and now it is just down right outstanding. If you love the mini as much as I do and plan to keep it for a while even maybe as just a back up I recommend the Lurker bolt and poppet, violent series trigger, empire relay on/off asa and any good 2 piece barrel.

Pros: light, easy maintnence
Cons: asa, not good for big hands, stock barrel
cons-If you do buy this gun you might want to consider a different barrel. The stock one has a big bore and is only 12inches long. Also since it doesn't have an on/off asa it is hard to get the tank off the gun. I found that if I dry fire one shot every time I turn the tank it helps relive some of the pressure.
If you have big hands you might not like this gun because it is so small. When i first had the gun the asa kept coming loose so I had to open up the grips and tighten the screw and now it is fine.

pros- It is light and fairly easy to maintain.

If you can spend the extra money I would consider the planet eclipse etha. Overall I like the gun.

I love this marker. I desperately needed a new marker and didn't have much money so I went out and bought my Empire Mini. I play mid/front on a tournament paintball team and the Mini has met all my needs and I have not yet found one reason to purchase a new marker yet. As a mid player, the trigger is loose enough for me to lay down cover for my fronts, and when the time comes for me to move, it is small enough for me to get down into smaller bunkers without my gun getting in the way. The Mini is durable, I dive a lot and my gun gets banged up quite a bit but the thing still fires great. I have put that gun through hell these few months I've had it and it still seems brand new. Right out of the box I was shooting accurately at about 25-30 yards. It is extremely easy to take apart, clean, and program. The only upgrades I would recommend are getting a new ASA, and a longer barrel. Overall, I would recommend the Empire Mini to anyone looking to buy a cheap, reliable marker.
