So i recently bought my brand new Empire Mini Special Edition in the Copper/Black color scheme. My local paintball shop sells the S.E. ones for the same price as regular which was nice. When i first opened the box i fell in love with the marker. The metallic copper color with the black accents looked amazing. Now, i know a lot of people could care less about the packing of their product but I really like how Empire packages their products. The Mini comes in a nice white Empire branded box and the top pulls off to expose some foam with the CD manual and some other "literature". Under the first piece of foam is the marker itself. Sitting perfectly in its cutout foam....blah...blah..blah. So far i have only shot about 2 hoppers of paint through it but i can say that this Mini shoots ropes. I was really surprised to see it shoot so nicely right out of the box.

What you get:
Marker
12in Barrel
Barrel Condom
Tool Kit
"Literature"

Pros:
Light weight
Cheap
Looks (some people are not fans of the mini's looks, but personally i love it)
Accuracy out of the box (even for the stock 12in)
No Macroline to get in the way
Clamping Feedneck
Comes in A TON of different colors (ANSgear.com has all of them)

Cons:
No on/off for the ASA (Although you can buy a Thread Saver for $35, which has an on/off)
Allen/Hex keys are needed for most everything
Box cannot double as a nice carrying case like other markers

I know im forgetting some stuff, but overall this is a great marker for the price. In my opinion none of the cons i listed would make me not want to buy this marker. If yo are looking to get into paintball and you have the money to spend i would definitely consider picking up an Empire Mini. Now, for anyone who has enough money to get an Empire Axe and is looking at the Mini i would go for the Axe. It is basically the same marker, looks-wise, but just all around better for the money.

Cons: Had a leak in the grip, eyes can be finicky
Overall, this is the best marker to get for an entry-level tournament player, a really good base, great value and it works well if you are starting to get into speedball. Younger players will have no problem using the Mini, it is fairly easy to maintain, has a fantastic feeling trigger, decent efficiency and a very small profile, which is good for little guys who can get into a snake and tighten up really well. One of the first macro-less designs I remember seeing that really picked up.

Pros: very small and light, doesnt chop paint at all
Cons: not very air effiecient, board tends to act up
First off i love my Mini. The marker is a strong choice if you have a lower price range. The recoil is slim considering its a paintball gun, even on PSP ramping its excellent. air efficiency is absolutely terrible, the only major con. My board acted up but the all the sudden started to work again without any malfunctions.

overall 4.67 out of 5.00

Pros: Never Goes Down, Always A Reliable Back-Up
Cons: Needs Upgrades
I purchased my first Mini when it first came out. I immediately fell in love with it when my PM7 went down at the Chicago Open in 07. I proceeded to destroy the opposing team with the very underrated and unvalued Mini.

To this day, I always try to have a Mini amongst my stock of guns. When the Axe was released I feel everyone's prayers were answered with the addition of a nice On/Off, upgraded software, and push-button bolt release.

One of the most important factors in making the gun perform well is the addition of an aftermarket barrel - but that's really it!

Empire Mini My mini has been super reliable. There is a reason why a lot of people have the mini...it's a great gun. They are a breeze to work on. Get one, new or used, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Consistent performance, decent electronics, small
Cons: Trigger can feel odd
The Mini is a good choice for a workhorse marker. Light, easy to maintain, efficient and smooth shooting, the only two drawbacks I could find were the time it took to accustom myself to the Hall effect trigger and the adjustment to such a small marker. Can pull more than enough shots to put someone's head down, reliable enough for woodsball while small and fast enough for speedball, and just an all around solid marker.
