These were a big improvement from the c6's. But were still on the heavier side of things. Well padded, and durable

Looks - Appearance
To me, I think it looks pretty good. It came in a few different colors (Grey, Gold, Olive, Blue, and Red) and I got the Grey Pants. It has a pretty stylish design to it with Dye Logos in a lot of spots. 2 Big ones on the side, one on the groinal area, on top of the knee pads and a big one on the back side right above the butt. Besides all that it is pretty basic and people usually like it, including me.
Weight - Performance & Appearance
Compared to most others besides like the JT Pants, they are pretty light. Different material could be used to make it weigh less but im not complaining, its not making me run any slower/faster.
Venting - Performance
This is nothing to complain about, but to be precise I think they could improve on some things. The inside of the pants are mesh, which works pretty well and breaths fine. There are alot of other spots on the pants that have plenty of holes for good venting. Not to bad but not the best.
Padding - Performance
Atleast they have some, wish it would be more though. Before these I had owned some XSV Pants, which were alright but I could atleast say they were heavily padded. The crotch padding on this is pretty thin and wont help you out to much so I suggest wearing atleast some gym shorts underneath the pants or sildershorts would be even better. The knee pads are a little better but not by much, they provide a little protection but crawling around in the snake or being on your knees will eventually start to hurt without knee pads. That is basically all the main padding with the exeption of a little bit of almost unnoticable hip padding. It works but could improve alot.
Other Functions - Performance and Reliability
From what I can tell, everything that Dye makes ussually runs a little bit small. These Dye pants are a Large and they fit a little tighter than I would have hoped but they are still nice, so I would recommend trying them on if I were you, and if your still growing then try the size above and see if that works for you. It also has 2 Adjusting Velcro straps above the hips to keep it tight or make it looser, they work fine. On the back it has 2 squeegee pockets which work very well and I havent had a squeegee fall out yet. On the front there are 2 pockets that shut with a small peice of velcro, and they are mesh inside. I prefer not having mesh pockets because they rip when I put keys in there but these havent yet. There are 2 ankle adjusters on the bottom that work fine. That is basically all the notiable features of the pants.
Durability - Reliability
I was hoping these would hold up as good as my old Proto pants did but my expectations had failed me. After using it 2 times 60% of the seems have started coming loose, this hasnt done anything major but it could in the future. After about its 7th use it got a hole in the top of the right knee pad and there is nothing that can be done there. Knee pads are also wearing down pretty fast. The back is almost brand new looking though, then again I dont go slidding on my butt very much. This is kind of a dissapointment but was kind of to be expected since it is paintball pants.
Bang4Buck - Value
I think these are way over priced for what you get, since Proto pants basically work the same if not better in some cases. Unless you have alot of money to burn I would go for Proto pants instead of these since they work the same but overall I dont mind owning these pants and still use them to this day and will until they break down completely and need new ones.

The stitching comes unraveled and frayed but no big problem, they never actually came out.
I have worn them for about 2 months and 1 tournament, also when I bought them they were slightly used. They are really sweet, I love Dye. They have no problems yet and I love them. They have great padding and are durable. I would recommend them, if they are a good price.
They also had good venting, and are very comfy.

Good:
- Price - I paid $70 for it since it's last year's model.
- Looks - Looks awesome to me
- Padding - Great knee & shin padding (for a pant)
- Ventilation - You'll notice areas of the pant that don't get hit too often have a kind of flex mesh for great breathability
- Comfort - Very comfortable, loose, with some stretch for running, crouching, etc.
Bad:
- Price - if it was this year's model..something like $150...yeah not worth it
- Color Option - No Black/Black?!?
- Stitching - After one day of use some of the stitching is already fraying...dunno if it'll get worse or not.

I bought these new online, the padding and venting are great. Im a front snake player and never needed knee pads because of these. Playing in 90+ summer tournaments you will be happy you got these.
The only issues I had with them were the stitching fraying(never actually came out) and they are not exactly lightweight pants...
Oh and the crotch padding...actually works, trust me.
All in all nice pants, worth what I payed for them...I don't know about retail though, although that should go down with the C8 series out

I picked these up shortly after the C8's came out so they were cheaper. These pants scream quality and excellence which is what Dye has come to be known for. Initially these pants look great, and they are packed with nice features: heavy duty fabrics and materials, sturdy knee and zipper padding, tons of venting (works wonders when playing in hot weather), mesh lining, adjustable waist and leg cuffs. These pants have held up to over a year of use and still look almost new. I have never had an issue with dye pants tearing or ripping (previously owned C5's). The only caution would be that after washing, hang the pants to air dry because machine drying causes the seems to slightly fray (nothing a bic lighter can't fix). Otherwise I'm 110% satisfied with this product.
