This gun is sick!!! The machine work and the anno on the gun its awsome. Im trying to find me another one!!!!! When i bought it. I got it from a shop that has it in stock since 2003 they never sold it . So it was lnib!!! When i aired it up shot it the gun kept jaming up . So i sent it to bob long they fixed the gun for free i just had to pay for the part.

I have owned multiple species markers and they are my favorite timmy yet. Like all timmys they have great balance and length allowing you to really aim your shot with ease. the milling on these guns is flat out amazing, these were one of bobs bodies that he milled out of a solid billet block unlike other private label guns. I put weight under cons because number wise it doesnt stack up to the markers of today, which many people whine about. I however prefer the weight it has because it seems to reduce the kick the marker has. My other favorite thing about this marker, as is with all of bobs guns, is the consistency. I was able to tune my species to +-2 with all of the stock parts. no extra money had to go into it to make it the machine it is today

I don't recall how much I paid, but I had two of these when they came out. They look really cool with the extensive milling that was done but I wouldn't want to risk getting shot in the gun because cleaning them is a lot of work. Looks great on the wall, shoots like all the other intimidators of its time. Don't lose the plug in the back, you need it to take the bolt out, Trigger is unquie in that you can push down on it to shoot it. I used that style trigger in a few of my guns around 2k3 with minor modifications.
Looks great but best left on the wall.
They were pretty spendy when they came out, but now you can occasionally find one for cheap on nation or ebay

It's efficiency wasn't horrible, but it could have been improved. It shot straight and had mild kick for it's age. The trigger could have been more reactive.

For a 6 year old gun, this thing is absolutely amazing. You can literally walk onto the field with this and it'll perform just as well as some of the more expensive guns out now. As for the con of the bolt being a pain to remove (on field) you only have to worry about it if you break paint, so far it hasn't done it.
This is also probably one of the nicest milling patterns to arrive on a paintball marker to date, and something tells me it'll stay like that for a long while.
For what I paid, you really can't go wrong.

I purchased my Species NIB at the end of the 2007 season from a local shop that still had one. Upon airing and playing with the marker I was very impressed with it's accuracy and efficiency. The board had nothing but semi and I had a hard time getting it to really rip. I added a Critical trigger which was better, but I still was unhappy with the speed. I finally broke down and added a WAS 2.9 board. Now we are talking, this marker is just ridiculous with the new board. I also added a Redz feedneck, CP reg and on/off, Eigenram and lighter valve spring and some Hybrid grips because I like the way they look.
For the $375 that I dumped into this marker I would say there is NO better value. Pick one of these bad boys up for 200-300, drop in a board and trigger and you will be competing with anything on the field and your marker will be the sexiest thing out there.
