Well, I got my PMr about a week ago. It has had roughly 4000 shots through it.

WHEN YOU GET IT:
When you get the PMR SE, it comes in a extremely tiny box with 2 layers of foam in it. The first layer contains the actual marker. The second layer contains the 2 piece Proto barrel, allen keys, lube, barrel condom, small parts kit, a battery, and a manual. PLEASE READ THE MANUAL BEFORE YOU USE THE PMR SE.

QUALITY:
The quality of the PMR is very good. There are no milling marks, but the frame has a seem but that shouldn't bother you. The 2 piece Proto UL barrel is nice, accurate and quiet.

Performance:
The performance of the Pmr is good. It feeld like I'm shooting a gun worth $1000. Its fast, and very smooth. The sound signature is different that other matrixes. It has a quiet shot, but a loud dry fire. The only thing to coplain about here is the effiecency. I get 600 shots out of a 72/3000.

Weight/Looks:
This gun is 2.5 lbs with a barrel, asa, reg, and battery. Thats lighter than a ion without a barrel. It has flowing milling lines with a rail on the top of the body. Hence the name, Proto Matrix Rail.

Barrel:
The barrel is a nice Proto UL barrel. It is extremely light. It add only like 5 oz to the total weight of the PMR. The internal finish is perfect. I really have no complaints here other than the manual doesn't say whether the barrel back is supposed to have a o-ring on it or not. It turns out it isn't supposed to have one.

Feedneck:
The feedneck is a basic clamping feedneck with a thumb adjustment screw. It is metal which is good. You might have to add tape to your hopper feedneck if it slide around.

Body:
The body is a nice, ligth weight body. It is thinner at the bottem and gets fatter at the top. The eye covers a metal Proto eye covers. The backcap is a metal Proto backcap.

Frame, ASA, Trigger:
The ASA is is just a basic airport with a adjustable pin. The frame is a composite frame and is very sturdy and light. The trigger is Proto's Edge trigger and the trigger guard is Proto's Edge Trigger Guard. The grips are made out of the stick material and are fatter at the base and gets thinner at the top.

Regulator:
The regualtor is Dye's Hyper 2 reg. It is the best reg on the market. It get +/-2 consistancy. It is small and comfortable to hold.

Electronics:
The electronics in the Pmr are the same thats in the PM7. The eyes work flawlessly and the solenoid is smal. The noid is a new design from Proto.

Cons: GAS HOG, leaks every now and then
First off, let me say I love this gun. It WILL keep up with any Ego or DM or BL out there. You just have to let it.

This gun is pretty good looking. It has simple yet elegant milling, with some solid colors.

Over the chrono, this thing shoots about +/-4, but plenty of factors attribute to that.

My only real complaint is that this gun sucks up air like a fat guy finishing a marathon. I can get maybe 350 shots off a 48/35 steely. But I knew that when I bought it, and I really just need a better tank.

This thing also leaks quite a bit, but it usually seals up after a cycle or two.

For me this gun is perfect. This gun is extremely fast and light. I have had absolutly no breaks or problems whatsoever with my gun. It is amazing The only upgrade I would suggest for this is a ul barrel even though the two piece it comes with is very good. I love this gun and probably wont get a new one for the next 5 years. Also me and my team got 2nd place in a local tourney. It was a great tourney and my pmr se shot, killed, and we won. We did lose the last match to 1rst place team but they all had freakin DM's. Well if I could suggest this gun to be every persons main gun I would.

Overall this gun kills. (if i was on pbreview id give this a 10/10)

Pros: Light, Cool milling, GREAT stock barrel
Cons: Stiff trigger. Tricky bolt assembly.
This review is based on my friend's PMR SE. He bought it brand new.

Its a great marker. The milling is nice. The SE has all alloy parts, so no need to upgrade the plastic junk. The trigger is extremely stiff (adjust it, and remove spring). I was however very impressed with the stock 2-piece barrel. The milling is just like the Ultralight. The feedneck is decent, no need to upgrade. The bolt can be a little tricky. It needs normal lubing, obviously. He runs his on HP. Better results with HP than LP.

Overall- I'd give it an 8-10. Its fast, affordable, appealing, and would take it over an Ion any day.

Pros: Great gun for the price
Cons: SE trigger, loud
This was my first legit gun after my very first marker the piranha EVO. I'm happy to say that it rocked my socks. For 275 you are getting a marker you can take to a tournament and compete in. The stock board is good and the manual is helpful. The SE is a big improvement over the stock. It comes with a two piece barrel and replaces a bunch of plastic poop with metal parts. Also there are a lot of aftermarket parts for this gun as well as dye's UL frame. If you don't feel like buying a new gun, you can pimp this out to compete with higher end PM's and lower DM's.

Some cons you might want to take note of are the stock SE trigger and the noise. The stock SE trigger is a piece of doo doo. The normal stock pmr trigger is probably better. The trigger is angled so forward that it is damn near impossible to walk it above like 10 bps. I replaced it with a flatter one and it was fine. Second, even with a dye UL barrel this gun is pretty loud compared to others but I don't really care. I think it sounds BAMF.

This is THE best beginner's tournament maker, I use it as a trusty backup. Don't even THINK about buying that ion, this thing will outshoot it.

Cons: Plastic Frame, Gas Hog, Fragile
Alright, so i got my pmr se about 4 months ago and i paid 275 for it. For 275 it is a great gun, but there are better for just a little more. The gun is pretty light, i weighed it in at 2.1 pounds with barrel, reg, and battery. This gun is just as fast as a DM7 or DM8 stock when clicking the noid but it cannot cycle or shoot faster with aftermarket boards, but since most fields allow up to 15 bps anyways, that doesnt matter. I got my marker to cycle at 30 cps but could only could get it to shoot at about 20-23 bps without it chopping and i was using a vLocity, indoors, with the velocity set to 275 fps. The gun is very consistant and after it was broken in I could only see a change in +/- 2 FPS. The gun had little (all markers have kick) to no kick, just like most matrixes have. The gun operates at 145 psi and is very consistant. It is not, however, efficient like all matrixes getting about 1200 to 1300 off a 68/45 filled to 3700. The board is very simple and user friendly, has 4 firing modes, abs, trigger sensitivity, Dwell, and ROF. The bolt has tons of orings to lube, but beside that it is very simple to maintain, but it has to be maintained. The stock trigger sucks donkey dick and is just about as bad as a spyder pilot trigger, the first thing you should buy for this gun is either the UL Frame, or NDZ frame depending on what you like more and deffinately get a new trigger, it is very hard to rip on this gun stock without ramping.

i think this is a great gun for begginers and intermediate players, but i feel really bad for those guys who payed the 500 dollar retail cost when it was released because it is deffinately not worth 500.

I purchased one of these guns after being out of the paintball circuit for about 2 years due to work, you gotta pay the bills!!! lol! Anyway, before then, i shot an AKA Viking, E-Orr cocker, and a wide assortment of intimidators. For anyone who has shot a viking knows, YOU CAN'T BEAT IT. But for the price, and being a true electropneumatic marker, i thought what the heck. This gun RIPPS. I paired it with a nitro duck ireg 45ci 4500psi, a HALO V35 And a freak barrel. AWESOME PERFORMANCE. Get one And see.

oh yeah, i would defanately get a ultralight frame before you do any electronic ups, for comfort and durability, plus it can be custom anodized.

The PMR SE is a great marker that can keep up with most high end markers.

Right out of the box, you can just play with it and dont need to upgrade anything right away because of the alloy parts added to it.

The only upgrade I recommend is a UL frame

Overall, the PMR SE is a great marker
