Appearance: The cure bolt compared to the stock bolt, or any other bolt for that matter is the best looking out there. It looks really good on all the EGO's I've used it with. *This will also work with eteks*
Performance: If you are getting a couple chops here and there then I recommend the cure bolt to you. It is one of those upgrades that actually enhances performance without spending too much money. With my old markers I never had one chop whether I was shooting low end white box or highend paint like Draxxus or Evil the cure bolt never chopped a ball. There are two orings on the front of the bolt that act like "shock absorbers" which is one of the reasons you have less chops.
Reliability: See performance.
Value: For the price, the cure bolt is one upgrade the EGO must have. That is probably why the 07 a newer EGOs have the cure bolt already installed.
Overall the cure bolt gets a 10/10.

Long Shpiel:
After using my Maniac Ego 06 in cold weather for a month, I had my share of chops. I usually use high quality (brittle) paint, and as a result I was chopping at least 2-3 balls in a case. After two days of play, of countless aggravations, I decided to see what all the hype was about- I bought a Cure bolt. Upon receiving it, I noticed it was smaller than the stock bolt (smaller means less mass moving back and forth, and therefore faster cycle rates). Once on the gun, it looked a lot better than the stock bolt.... the Cure sticks out less which, IMO looks much cleaner. I took the gun out for a day of play the next day, and in 27 degree weather with brittle paint ripping with a 24 bps cap, I had NO chops This bolt really is "the Cure" I've been using this bolt for a little over a month, and have had one chop (eyes off) Great upgrade if you really want to stop worrying about chops. I am extremely impressed about the cold weather performance, and can't wait to see how this does in prime weather conditions.
If you want to pretty much forget about chopping on your 05/06 EGO, get this bolt.

I have nothing but love for Cure bolts of all kinds. They are the single most important upgrade for any PE gun that doesnt have one. I never broke a single ball in my EGO7 and I have yet to break any balls with my ETek2 either. The bolt simply cures all chopping problems that ever existed. It is the best bolt for the EGO hands down. The only thing I would change is I would like the air inlet hole to be angled at 45 degrees.
