I've used this hopper for more then 6 months til i bought a vl jr. its a great hopper if you need something faster then a gravity feed or quantom, but not as fast as a halo. i personally like the looks of the eggy, but i'm one of the few that does.
the eggy is fast, but not as reliable as a force-feed hopper, nor are there aftermarket lids or speedfeeds readily available.

great hopper for noobies

Pros: no jams, no broken paint
Cons: battery door stinks, weird shape, weight distro
Well, I know this loader is pretty old in terms of modern paintball. The pros: It hasn't jammed or broken any paint on me. It always feeds paint into the tube, and the gun fires! The cons: The loader door stinks, hard to open, weird shape, no bueno. The plastic is easy to crack, and that's no good. When you run out of paint it goes into a constant spin of the feed mechanism, and it's loud as sin....hello getting bunkered. Also the battery door on seemingly every one i've seen or read about is broken. Buy a used prophecy if you need real value!

Pros: Long battery life, reliable
Cons: Not durable, ugly, hard to clean
I've had the VL Evo II ever since I started playing paintball over 7 years ago. In fact, I used it last weekend and it worked just as well as it did on day one. There aren't a lot of bells and whistles on this thing, but it feeds paintballs faster than I can shoot on semi-auto, it never ever jams, and the battery lasts a long time. My only complaints are about the aesthetics. It's not very sexy or low profile, paint can stain the plastic easily, the plastic is brittle and erodes over time, it's hard to take apart and put back together, and it's harder to load than it should be. However, the solid, reliable performance of the Evo II outweighs these things.

Pros: fast ,cheap
Cons: maintenence, eats batteries, heavy and looks ugly
Problems
1. I got shot on the hopper and the paint got in and destroyed the board
2. I have gone through 8 9volts with 3 cases
3.Fallen of my marker because it is so heavy
4.Taking it apart is worse than taking apart an alpha black
5. Popcorns paint and breaks it inside the hopper

Good stuff:
It loads paint fast and it is a good value for newer players

Viewloader eVLution 2 I use it on my pump markers so I can't say how fast it feeds but it works for me. I got it on a shocker that I bought. It's a weird design and it pushes the weight towards the back of the marker.

Pros: Feeds decent
Cons: Awkward shape, large profile, semi heavy
Compared to the high speed loaders that are in the market now, the Egg is far out beat. A few years ago I still ran it in tournaments and it worked flawlessly. It fed me consistently while in semi mode, and I have some decently quick fingers. The egg shape does make it rather awkward and it has a goofy weight distribution. A light tank is a must with this, or it will be extremely rear heavy.
