I fell in love with this barrel the first time I used one. I now have 3, ranging from 12"-16". This barrel is an amazing addition to any marker setup, providing moderately ported-but super quiet, consistent bore & ball on ball accuracy from just about all play ranges. The Teflon Ceramic coating provides pretty decent self-cleaning abilities, tho I've had to throw a squeegee down there once or twice as it doesn't catch everything.
For the price, this barrel has the best performance for it's cost. I rated one star less on appearance as J&J has about 3-4 different barrel styles; all of them are a bit odd compared to more mainstream barrels. There are also only two solid colors, aluminum/silver and matte black to choose from and I'm not sure what anodizing might do to the barrels unique properties (teflon/ceramic/aluminum.)

I purchased this barrel at the recommendation of a friend at the local pro-shop and it didn't disappoint. the teflon coating inside the barrel is slicker than $h!t and if your local field carries a medium-small caliber paint, it's very accurate. The matte black finish is attractive to me and the porting makes it fairly quiet. I bought the 16", maybe a little overkill, but I recommend it to everyone that's in the market for a relatively inexpensive, quality barrel.

This barrel is awsome! I have one for all of my guns. Its Probably the best low end barrel you can buy. Its performance out performs any barrel within the same price range. Its great for rec play and a cool look on scenario markers. Its accuracy is pretty good for my standards. it shoots rec and cheapo paint excelent, but the paint that i found worked best was marbs. I split a case with my friend for a day and we only used half of it since we only had to shoot a few times to eliminate someone. As for Quietness ive heard quieter but this is pretty good . I know a ceramic barrel doesnt sound like it would be very strong but it is! One time i was messin around riding my skateboard with my marker in hand (retard!) and i hit a rock and jammed the barrel directly into the concrete needless to say it was fine there was a small scratch but no dent at all. Overall this is one of my fav barrels and if your low on cash or just cant see yourself spending 100+ on a kit get this barrel. Trust me its way worth the money i would probably spend 50 on this barrel if i had to.

I got myself the 2 piece version. This barrel's coating allows it to clean itself after a barrel break. Do not expect perfect accuracy after a break, but it will stay in the acceptable spectrum, which is more than you can say about some other barrels.
it has sleek milling. Mine came in matte black. I would like a chrome one but given the coating I doubt anodizing is an option, nor do I want to spend any more on this barrel: the idea of this barrel is an accurate, self-cleaning one for a good price.
I recommend this barrel for anyone with a starter gun who does not want to spend too much on a new barrel. It even has a kit version. You can probably get the cheapest version for $30 these days.
I would not hesitate using this barrel on a high end, but most high end guns these days come with their own decent barrel, so it would be moot to buy an after market barrel for them.
Appearance: it comes in mostly flat colors. It has really graceful milling.
Performance: there is no better barrel in its price range.
Reliability: it's a barrel, barrels don't really have reliability issues.
Value: yes, this barrel is great for a beginner or anyone short on cash.

Excellent barrel, been using it for 6 years. Shoots great. Greatly reduced the noise from my Spyder's and is a breeze to clean. If a ball breaks in the barrel 2-3 shots later the barrel is clean. Great for cleaning on the field when a squeegie isn't handy. The only problem is that if you aren't careful the barrel could chip, or scratch. I haven't had any problems with this, but I've heard of woodsballers who have.
Overall a great barrel that can be found for sale below MSRP.

Cheap, accurate, self-cleaning, worth every penny.

I have settled on this barrel, and I'm not looking for anything better. 14 inches of good (but not the greatest) accuracy. It was cheap and worth more than what you pay. The self cleaning feature is misleading. I recommend that you do NOT rely on it. It can be used in sticky situations, but the moment you get a chance, run a squeegee through it. I own a black one, which I think looks good for a standard black barrel. A little louder than I anticipated by reading the reviews on here. It is still an improvement though.
Appearance: It's slick and smooth, but could look better. Not that appearance really matters anyway...
Performance: It is fairly accurate. Self cleaning is a useful quality. But not the quietest, most accurate, and self-cleaning is not absolutely dependable.
Reliability: Perfect. Self-cleaning ensures that it will always shoot (even if it is sacrifices accuracy for expediency.) Hardy, I use it in woodsball...I think it will eventually chip if you batter it though.
Value: Worth a lot more than you pay, and luckily it is cheap.
Conclusion: Go for it. It's worth it. 9 out of 10 easy
