The trigger was fairly easy to install. There is no play if it's put in right. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it has a spring return. If cp would have went with a magnetic return assist the adjustment screw wouldn't have to be replaced, and i've always like mag assist better.

Today I recieved my clear CP trigger from actionvillage, it shipped fast right to my door which I know has nothing to do with the trigger itself, it just makes it that much sweeter. I took it out with no gun customizing expirience before and with a quick call to CP to make sure I had things straight I assembled it in less than 15 Min. It`s even lighter than the plastic trigger and feels so smooth, I would have paid double this for this trigger.

One look at my marker and you will quickly ascertain that I am very fond of the products put out my CP. I have a CP Long Regulator, 2K5 On/Off, Micro Drop and now the Sling Blade Trigger on my Proto Matrix Rail (PMR).
I became familiar with Custom Products when they were one of the first companies to develop an upgraded trigger for the Spyder VS line of markers. Their Sling and Rake triggers are great upgrades for these markers and they were one of the first to the market to offer a trigger with much better performance than the stock one.
The same is true for the Sling Blade Trigger for the PMR marker. This is a trigger upgrade for the stock (composite) trigger frame for the PMR. (They also make an upgraded trigger for the PMR with Ultra Light Frame as well that sells for the same price). I received my trigger direct from CP and they retail for $35.00 from their website. Install was very easy and straightforward. The package came with the trigger, mounting bolt and nut and a new trigger spring. To install you just degas your marker and remove your air source. You must then unplug your eye ribbon and other connectors from the board and remove the two screws that hold the trigger frame to the body. Be careful not to damage your eye ribbon or solenoid wires. Once you have the trigger frame detached you remove the stock trigger and spring and install the CP trigger.
You place the included mounting bolt in from the left side of the marker, insert it through the roller bearing on the trigger and then use the small nut included and screw the mounting bolt in the nut with the nut on the INSIDE of your trigger frame on the right side. You may need to use a small pair of pliers or even tweezers to help you hold it in place during install. The nut can then be tightened using an allen wrench. Do not over tighten or your trigger will not function properly. You then reverse the order and reassemble the marker being sure to use the trigger spring that was included. (Some prefer not to use a trigger spring for a lighter feel and it has been said that this can possibly cause premature failure of the mechanical switch so do this at your own risk.)
Once you have the marker back in place power it on and check for proper operation of the trigger. You will be pleased to know that it is fully adjustable and using the small set screws to adjust the trigger for the exact feel that you like. It includes a bearing so the action is very smooth and my trigger has NO side to side movement whatsoever which was not the case with my stock metal trigger (I have the PMR SE). The triggers are offered in an incredible 17 different color choices which should please just about anyone.
I was a little nervous about the shape of the trigger since the “Sling” design from CP curves in an elliptical shape that is in this position [ ( ] from the front of the marker rather than their “Rake” design which is in this [ ) ] position. I thought that it would affect my BPS since my bottom finger would have to travel further while walking the trigger but this has not been the case. However, I would love to see the “Rake” design offered by CP for the PMR.
All in all this is a great upgrade for your marker. No other company offers so many color choices and this trigger is backed by one of the leaders in the paintball industry, Custom Products. Their customer service has always been top notch and they truly stand behind the products that they sell. I recommend you go and get one today and if you do not have a PMR then take a look at the huge selection that they offer for many other markers.

I had one of these triggers on my DM4 and my DM6. They made it very easy to walk the trigger quickly and are also easily adjustable. I never noticed the side to side play in the trigger during an actual game, but it did make me slightly nervous. Seemed as though it may break or fall off, but never did.

Had one on my PM5 and it definitely increased my speed by a good deal, however the sloppiness was not something I was used to. The side to side play just made the trigger almost unbearable. I finally made it less sloppy by doing some custom work to it. These could definitely use some refining work on most markers.
