I've owned several Rainmakers, all received through trades (hence my value in Price Paid). One had all 7 of Mad Marty's Mods and shot amazingly well, wish I hadn't traded it. But what I traded it for was 1 of 7 of Rainman229's pump RMs. This thing needs a few mods, but once it's done it will be pretty nice. My third was a LNIB 98 Rainmaker, s/n 857. A friend now has it.
Overall, they do the job in standard configuration. Durable, pretty reliable, and loud.
But to REALLY jack up performance, something heavily suggested for these markers is to invest in Mad Marty's Mods 1-5. I believe he is still doing them.
For the price, it is worth picking one up. They are a tinkering dream and a RM can become a beast if you know what you are doing/modifying.

So a few years ago I bought one used. It worked for a few shots, then just quit. Kind of started tinkering with it. I ended up having a lot of fun, and saw that in the right hands, you could turn it into something that looks mean.
So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a gun to actually play a game with... but if you're into tinkering, might as well pick one up for a few bucks.
