The phantom is a great pump gun, it's light and very accurate. The 12 gram co2 changer makes the gun alot lighter because there isnt a tank. The one arm on the pump makes the stroke iffy because sometimes it wobbles. The balls tend to roll out alot because of the over bore, i would suggest getting a detend ring kit for it. I get 40 shots per 12 gram co2 and its a blast to plink people using an electro with a pump gun.

Cons: Pump stroke
So far, my fav pump marker.
APPEARANCE: 5/5
I have mine with the standard VSC setup with a 45 grip and a L stock. Factory anno'd in a blue acid wash, it's gorgeous. I'm just a sucker for that classic old school look.

PERFORMANCE: 4/5
Like all nelson based pumps, it's not the most consistent thing out there. Currently getting rollouts, but about to get my barrel freak bored and planning on underboring to prevent those. Adjustible bolt is a bit difficult to use, especially if you don't have the adjusting tool. Taking off the barrel then using a flathead every couple shots isn't much fun. I currently get around 40 shots off of one 12g, shooting around 280.

RELIABILITY: 5/5
Incredibly easy to maintain. Very simple design, and very easy to strip. There's barely any orings on it, and a little oil goes a long way. One complaint that I have though is how the pump handle rubs off the anno on the barrel. No real solution to that other than an undercocking kit, which takes away the whole phantom look/design/feel. Also unhappy that aftermarket barrels like the DW require an undercocking kit as well.

VALUE: 5/5
Cheap way to get in to stock class, and really, the only sc marker you'll ever need.

My favourite marker right now!

Component Concepts Incorporated Phantom (VSC) I love my phantom. It is definitely the most fun to use gun I have ever owned. It can be a challenge to play with, but to me that challenge is what kept me involved in paintball all these years.
