I just bought the ion xe, and it has 2 be the best gun i have ever bought. it is deffiently worth the money. only one bad thing the stock feed neck SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  With a new board this could be the greatest gun ever.

i had a choice between this and a proto slg i tho o gee well this one ist all plstic so lets try it .... THAT was the WORSE mistake i ever made!!!! i thought well this is supose to be a very reliable gun the first time i played with it chopped about 13 balls PATHETIC. this gun is heaver has a **** feed neck a **** barrell a **** asa and so on. like 215$$ for a pice of **** like i could have gotten this frome my cat. i recomend any other gun ovr this. and for 200$$ i could have had another gun that shoots 30 bps and o yea the trigger BLOWS after 2 months of this peace of **** i upgraded to a mini the best gun ive gotten yet... DO NOT BUY its a waste of moneyy and for anybuddy that has some1 tellin u that its good tell them to **** off!!!!!!!

great gun with BOB and great for beginers but dont try resellig it and accuracy isnt the greatest. Had a few leaks also tht were hard to fix

ok so my girlfriend bought me this gun for my birthday. i fell in love with it. she bought me a red one for about $200 (brand new).
lets start with the bad...
its small. i can pull the trigger with my thumb and finger on my left hand (i shoot right handed, too) i got shot in the fingers many times because the regulator and trigger guard are too close together.
its complicated. its a 4 step setup and 3 step take down. i went to shoot it in my backyard, and i had no idea how to work it. u have to hold down the button, select vision mode, set the gun to the firing mode, re-attach the grips, and shoot. take down is stupid. u have to turn off vision mode, unscrew the tank, shoot the gun, take the tank off, turn on vision mode, then turn the gun off. so if your gunna turn the gun on in combat, your in trouble.
its a gas guzzler. i play scenario, and i have a 4500psi 68ci crossfire tank. i have to fill up almost every time im out, or in my case, every half hour. my other guns last about 2 games on 1 tank, however, it may just be my gun.
now the good stuff...
its fast. with vision mode, it only shoots if a ball is in the chamber. this means it skips every 5-6 shots (i have a halo B victory hopper) but with vision mode off, it shoots very fast on semi. i havent chopped paint at all. the trigger is perfect (the response, not the trigger itself) so if u want to shoot, it will shoot. not too sensitive, not to heavy.
this beast is powerful. when i first shot it, i maxed out at 301 out of the box. i turned it up a bit more just to see what would happen and the farthest i got it to was 311. so this baby shoots VERY far.
its accurate too. i can group a whole hopper 4 inches across from 100 yards. need i say more?
all in all this gun is a great gun. upgrades are important, but its still fine without them...
barrel. comes with a 12 inch. not even rifled. it sucks. get a 14 or 16 (i have a freak insert totally out to 16in.)
new line. the stock line WILL break. get a metal or a good rubber line.
clamping feedneck. the standard neck will fit the hopper, but its very hard to get it on and off. u have to twist and pull it for a good minute. and it WILL break your hopper. get a feedneck. nothing left to say about that
design. the box design is boring. its all black, and seems very boring to me. i bought a good body from a friend (seems to be laser engraved design), got a CP Flame drop foward, metal regulator, new grips, and its all red and black. make sure to pimp it out
board/internals. the box parts are fine. no problems. but to release the beast, u need good internals. try to get a bob long pillow bolt, OLED board, virtue break beam, or a good QEV. i will make an ego look like a tippmann. DO NOT USE Co2!!!!!! it WILL mess up your gun!!! use N2O or HPA!!!
so all in all, its a great gun. no problems except for that its complicated, and it WILL keep up with protoge's, egos, dm9's, and proto's. its great out of the box, but i advise upgrading it to get the best out of it. i strongly recommend this gun.

oh, and 1 more thing. u NEED an electronic hopper.

It's my 2nd gun, and i love it. I have it fully upped and to do that it'll cost you a pretty penny but your still spending about the same to make it as good as the higher end guns especially if you get good deals. It's very durable, bash it off a bunch of rocks and it'll be fine. Very upgradeable, fun to use, easy to use, and very easy to maintain. Lastly, it's a very cheap price for the performance in my opinion.

O.k this is a good gun for beginners and beginners only. I have played for 5 years and have had this gun for almost a year and I have to list the pros and cons.
This is all the pros only 3
PROS:
.Small
.Compact
.Reasonably Priced
CONS:
.NO FEEDNECK you would think that when you spend 225$ for a paintball gun you would get a locking feedneck.
.Blows o-rings like no tomarrow almost every time you shoot it and it might not seem that way in the beginning but wait 3 months and it gets to be hell.
.You end up spending all of your time fixing it then playing with it, and I don't know about you but I would like palying with it then fixing it all the time.
.In order to make the gun lighter and make it shoot faster it takes upgrades and in the end add up all the upgarde prices and it will be more than the gun so really your getting ripped off so just buy another gun that is better like the proto slg for example its cheap and its way better.
.Heaviness is a factor with this gun. If you compare other guns that are cheaper this gun ways more than all of them.
.Bolt cover, if you take the bolt out and screw it back in and if the groves are not alined just right it will screw your gun up. Thats because the grooves are so friggin small and thats a 70$ issue if that happens.
.Hose, always leaks and if you are trying to save money you can't be taking this into the shop after every game you play.
.Regulator, holds extra air and you have to dry fire in order to get it all out and if you don't it will screw up your regulator seals and we all know how much a regulator is its like 70 for a custom products one.
That is my review of the ion xe, in this economy you have to try and save money and this is not a money saver. WORST GUN EVER SMART PARTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! WHAT WERE YOU GUISE THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

so i got this gun new i know that this gun is not worth what i paid but i got it to upgrade. so like the old ion it has a crap feed neck. people dont like the trigger on the gun but i didnt really care. a good idea when you by this gun is to go to actionvillage.com and get there upgrade packs for it. um this gun is a pretty solid gun i have only chopped 3 balls but that was in while i was when the tep. was 10 and was using ultra evil paint
