I used this tank when I was on a dye team and it got the job done but definitely seemed like it was choking when releasing the air out quickly. At the time it was one of the lightest on the market and first to get rid of that grey color. Overall it was ok but I prefer crossfire....see my crossfire reviews.

very nice tank!! quite small and light. I have used it for about 3 months, and the only problem I have had with it is its fill nipple. It wont fill on the local stores fill station up at the field, but will fill on the one in the proshop. so its pretty picky about that. Other than that I really like it!

Cons: cheap treads
I have the 45 cylinder tank and it is amazing. There is only one bad flaw with this tank. The tread strips really easily. If you buy one or have one that is not striped take your time screwing the tank in. Other than that the carbon fiber tank is really light and the 45 cylinder tank is small which makes a perfect match for people who like to have a light weight set up.

If you want a good tank this is good for you but make sure you screw the tank in slowly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Light, small, good tank all around.
Cons: Cheap crappy threads.
Appearance: One of the first things you notice when you look at a tank is its size and cosmetics. The 45/45 is a very very small and light tank and it looks really nice too, the shiney black finish really makes it a great looking tank.

Performance: Honestly, I have never had any problems with the performance of this tank. After owning this tank for almost 6 months I was very pleased with its recharge rate and overall performance.

Reliability: At the time, I was using a 2k5 cocker with hybrid on/off and this tanks stock threads were being torn up everytime I screwed it in. After it became so bad, I contacted Dye and they replaced the reg with a brand new regulator which had much stronger threads. A teammate of mine is now having trouble with a leaky fill nipple. I gave the throttle a 4/5 stars for reliability on this one just for those reasons. Although in the end I was very pleased with Dyes customer service. A+ to you Dye .

Value: If you purchase this tank brand new it is a little bit expensive, but it is about the same price as any other highend compressed air tank.

Overall I will give the Dye Throttle an 8/10.

Pros: Good tank, comes with thread caps
Cons: fill nipple
A tank is a tank. It has a small size reg, perfect for a small size tank. Not tiny, mind you, I've never had a problem with this tank where the gauge is in the way of a gun's grip frame. It has all the basics: reg, fill nipple, etc.

The fill nipple has been giving me problems until I finally got myself a CP fill nipple. Before then, it won't stop leaking. The airsmith would change to a new nipple, then fill the tank for me. It will leak again at the next refill. The CP fill nipple stopped all leaks so far and perfected this tank, everything else is perfect stock.

Appearance: smooth black tank with black reg and black background in the gauge.
Performance: reg feeds nicely, taking points off for the fill nipple.
Reliability: fill nipple costs a star here too because part of reliability is to not leak without upgrading...
Value: it's a great tank for the price!

Pros: light, consistent, looks good
Cons: poor recharge rate, reg is long
I bought this tank brand new, and my impressions out of the box were superb.

This is by far, the lightest tank I have used.
Not only is it light, but the visual aspects are grade A.

The tank is a sleek black, with the Dye logo, and all the tank information neatly placed, on the side. The reg is a little long, but matching black.

The reg itself has two things protruding from it. A black Dye gauge, and a fill nipple.

Coming out of the box, I noticed the threads had a rubber/soft plastic thread saver, and fill nipple cover.
This feature impressed me the most.

One downside I found was the recharge rate for the regulator was a little sloppy. This made the consistency wobble a tad, but overall the consistency was also grade A.

If you are looking for a great tank, with a decent price that's aesthetically pleasing, and light, then stick with the Dye Throttle.

I rate this product an A overall.

Dye makes great products with great quality... I think the design in this was just never meant to be.
